I Never Knew Who Chris Lang Was Until TikTok….

So, when you’re hibernating in your house all day you find things to do. I’ve re-organized my pantry about three times now (I had cans of soup from 2015 in there! I considered not throwing them out because they might hold the key to the cure for corona!). I’ve painted three of my bathrooms. I’ve waxed all the wood floors on four occasions. I’ve tossed out all my old spices (why do I have spices when I don’t even know how to boil water?). I’ve watched too much TV. I’ve played way too many video games. I’ve read. And sadly, I have spent way too much time on Tiktok. Like most people my age during quarantine I’ve discovered the absolute waste of time that is Tiktok. I can’t begin to describe how funny, sad, and ridiculous it is.

One of the weirdest phenomenons of Tiktok is it seems to double up as a dating app. You got your millennials showing their abs off, silver foxes trying to snag a sugar baby, and of course, there are the Chris Langs of the world.

Who’s Chris Lang?

So, I listen to a lot of different music. I mean, I am everywhere. Metalcore, 80’s, 50’s show tunes, you name it, it’s probably hanging out on my playlist. From Jesus Chris Super to Baba O’Riley to the X-Files theme song there’s just something for everyone in my playlist.

You know what’s not? Country music. I love the Man in Black but I consider him a folk artist so, he’d be the only one that remotely comes close to Country music on my playlist. No hate if you love country music. I just don’t. It’s not my thing. It’s like listening to someone scratch their nails on a chalk board.

Until Tiktok…..

Everyone uses the Chris Lang song What’s Your Name? as the national anthem of “Hey, I’m single!” introductions. Now that damn song is stuck in my head.

“So what’s your name? Where you from? What’s your drink when you get drunk? What’s your sign? What’s your song?”

So, let’s switch it up a bit:

  • What’s your skin type? Dry in the Winter but a bit more combo in the warmer weather.
  • What’s your foundation type of choice (Cream, powder, liquid, or fluid)? I tend to like fluids as I don’t wear a lot of foundation so the lighter the better!
  • What’s your concealer of choice? At the moment, none! All natural here! But typically, I use Tarte Shape Tape on most days and if I’m going a bit lighter YSL All Hours Concealer. This changes often though as I seem to always switch up and try new concealers.
  • What’s your lip product of choice? Gloss or Lipstick? I’m a lipgloss girl!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Fun game!

    Skin type-combination
Foundation-don’t use on my face, I use samples for eyeshadow primer though
Concealer-rarely use, only for blemishes and most I don’t care enough to bother, I’ve used Clinique Acne Solutions concealer for years though, best I’ve found to cover blemishes
Lip-I love it all but prefer lipstick

My main loves are eyeshadow palettes, highlighter, anything sparkly!

can I just say I love your idea of using sample foundation as primer. That’s like such a great idea!

It works really well! I have many foundation samples from Too Faced orders, I use lighter colors for most eyeshadow shades but I like the deeper colors under brown eyeshadow, it makes it last as eyeshadow likes to fade on me. I think the foundation works better than the Too Faced actual eyeshadow primer. I just put a pin in the packet and squeeze a little bit out, lasts a really long time when just using on your eyelids.
