Pastels, Tie-Dye, and Neons are Back But Can We Start a Petition to Bring Billy Hargrove Back?

What’s old is new again for Summer 2020. Pastels, tie-dyes, and neons are all back for the warmer weather. My sister Facedtimed me last week because she’s on some Martha Stewart craft kick after discovering youTube videos to create tie-dye sneakers using Sharpie Markers and alcohol.

In the makeup world, Colourpop went on an unusual pastel kick last week when they launched the Pastel Tie-Dye Collection thus combining not one but two different trends into one release. I admit, I had a Shu Uemura flash back moment when I saw these. Remember back in the day when Shu was so into releasing a pastel Spring Collection. It was such a makeup tradition. I was convinced I looked good in pastels back then but in reality my peachy undertone definitely couldn’t pull off pastel pinks, greens, and blues.

And Milani released a fruity neon collection of eyeliners and lip balms!

I wonder who else will get on board with neons, tie-dye, and pastels. I admit I’m sitting here selfishly wishing for a peach Summer makeup cliche collection to drop. Please bring me some beautiful golden peach blushes and highlighters, some pretty peachy eyeshadows, and some glossy coral lips. Peach just doesn’t get enough love in the Summer!

Are you into these trends?

Do you like pastels?

Neons?

Tie-Dye?

Do share!

P.S. I commonly associate neons with the 80s so yeah, can we please bring back Billy? Because I’m going to miss him if he isn’t in S4. The mullet, the attitude, the rock n roll, and most importantly the Chevrolet Camaro. This can’t be the end! We probably don’t even have to start a petition ourselves as I’m positive there’s one out there already demanding his return. I guess the start of Summer has me nostalgic for a little Billy fandoming!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I just bought myself a tie dye t-shirt last weekend for the first time in forever. I’m loving it and want more. Definately liking this trend.

Yay! There’s so many youTube howtos as well to create your own ;-D

I always love neon and tie dye in the summer (it just makes me happy). And more fruity makeup sounds good to me. I just threw out one of my favorite peach blushes from Too Faced because it went off. I thought there might be some new peachy release soon to replace it but I guess not.

Peach doesn’t get any love around Summer for some reason 🙁 I would love some new peach/coral blushes!

    Speaking of stranger things,
I feel like a stranger things summer makeup collection would be amazing, with an 80’s inspo obviously.
I just think it would be super fun and I feel like there is enough of a following to totally justify it! 🙂

I’d sign up for that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Surprised no one jumped on it like Pur Cosmetics or something!

I like pastels, maybe because I have deep set eyes. The difficulty is finding good ones. Decided against Pastel Goth, but have a Zoeva and a Lorac. Plus the Nyx faux whites liners. Hope the CP liners will get restocked, though. Too old for neons, except maybe liners or mascara. Fruits? Admired, but never hauled. Have gifted them. Tie dye will never die, for folks in my age bracket.

Yes! I want Billy back! Ok, gonna really date myself, but I was an 80s girl, surrounded by lots of mullets in a small Fl town. I was pretty wild, dated a lot of those guys since hs, had permed burgundy colored hair, bright green contact lens, loved pastel clothing, big shoulder pads and owned 2 Camaros!!! I kept the old one from hs days and bought a new one after landing a good job. The guys were really impressed by that (lol I was a tiny Asian chick), especially my future husband, who also drove a Camaro. Oh, the memories…
I’ve always loved tie dye… My siblings and I loved making tees, so much fun. Since I still wore tie dye occasionally, my son used to call me, “hippie mom”.

BIG SHOULDER PADS FTW! hahahaah! my dad had a camaro! ;-D That’s sick you had one! Love it!!!!

Pastels look terrible on me. I’m a Deep Winter as far as color seasons go so that’s probably why. I feel like pastels good on fair or deep skin tones tho.

I was convinced pastels were for me. Nope! big Nope! 😀
