Would You Dye Your Underarm Hair? Asking For A Friend…!

My Summer home is actually pretty close to where Amanda Palmer and Neil Gaiman’s residence is in Woodstock is (or was who knows now that they are separated). I’ve had the pleasure of seeing Amanda perform at Helsinki and yeah, her underarm hair is an entity all itself. Amanda is that “I just don’t give a f&ck!” girl and you gotta admire that. She just refuses to conform to what society tells women to do, feel, and act.

One thing I’ve never seen her do is dye her underarm hair.

That’s a thing you know.

Would you do it?

Ok, so, I am not into living the life of a hairy beast over here. Unless you count my brows which have gone girls gone wild on me during quarantine. I actually had take their life into my own hands because salon time is not coming anytime soon for me here in New York.

But I know not everyone is like me and some people do let their arm, leg, and even brow hair grow out long and strong.

Back in 2015, a lot of women were letting their arm hair grow in and dying it a variety of colors. That’s apparently coming back for Summer 2020.

Why be boring when you can have teal hair under your arms am I right? I dunno if I’d do something like this personally. I’m here wearing aqua eyeshadow sure but I dunno about sporting aqua hair under my arms.

Would you dye your underarm hair?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. If I had it, I would. I had the pits lasered many years ago. But I am not a fan of damaging, harsh permanent dyes (I color my hair with color conditioners, or semi- permanent colors which don’t lighten), so I am not sure it would even show up on my dark hair. Do you remember a product called Betty a few years back that was a pubic hair dye? It had blue and pink shades as well as black, brown, red and blond.

One that confused me was the Korean ‘point masks’ for the genital area, both male and female. I think I saw them on yesstyle. At least i understood nipple rouge and ‘alternate’ hair coloring. Those masks, could not begin to comprehend on any level. Never tried a Betty.

I think it’s kind of cute, actually. My pits are as well endowed as my eyebrows….not at all, so it couldn’t be a thing on me. Reminds me of the European men in the 70s who said,’That’s an American girl, with her silly bald armpit!’

I wouldn’t, armpit hair looks gross to me probably because I only grow about six hairs on one side and seven on the other and luckily never have grown more. My monthly removal consists of tweezing the hairs when I see they have grown by looking at them at an angle because they are super fine so I can’t even see them in a mirror even though they are dark. I heard shaving daily hurts and is irritating so I can see why someone would grow theirs out and dye them especially given current situation. I have leg hair but it too is fine and somewhat sparse so I have to remember once a month to shave. Can you imagine what dyed leg hair would look like? What if they dyed it like a rainbow…

I would not. I do not like armpit hair and had mine lasered years ago. I like smooth legs, smooth arms, smooth face, etc. Even if I had hair, I would not dye it. I have black hair; I’d have to bleach those suckers just to get them a fun colour, which is just too irritating on armpit skin.

        XD No, just no. LOL!

I’m doing well! Like everyone, just feeling a little crazy being cooped up at home for so long and missing friends and family, but at least I’m well! The weather is nice too, so can’t complain (except I’m a vampire and run from the sun. Haha!).

I am also like Claudia, with hardly any under arm hair. And I wouldn’t dye it either.
