Bath and Body Works Boardwalk Taffy Smells Like Strawberry Starburst

5 stars out of 5

Bath and Body Works Boardwalk Taffy is a new, limited edition fragrance that launched for Summer 2020 that I’m already hoping will be brought back next year. I’m the first person in the world to rant about the repetitiveness of Bath and Body Works fragrances but sometimes, just sometimes, they’ll surprise us with a truly great scent that sticks with us well after it disappears. Boardwalk Taffy is such a scent.

I said it over the Holidays and I’ll say it again, Bath and Body Works has really been stepping up their game lately with a few creative scents that they’ve thrown our way lately and I’m ever so grateful for it. Sure, they reverted back to all those coconut, Hawaiian, tropical vacation scents for Summer that just smell like the same repetitive tropical fragrance but they mixed things up when they threw Boardwalk Taffy into the mix.

This mix of spun sugar, pink berries, and whipped vanilla had me thinking, “Oh no not pink sugar!” I was convinced this would be a cotton candy-like scent on the level of Pink Sugar which I’m not a fan of but it turned into something so much better.

I love sweet, gourmand fragrances which makes it off that cotton candy scents really aren’t my thing. I think Pink Sugar really ruined cotton candy scented anything for me. I just hate Pink Sugar. I find it nauseating and headache inducing! Yak! Needless to say when I heard a scent has spun sugar or cotton candy notes I ran from it. But as a fan of Bath and Body Works Boardwalk Marshmallow Clouds and Beach Nights I felt it was my responsibility to check out the new Boardwalk Taffy Fragrance.

Within a few days Bath and Body Works is going to start launching the Fall 2020 Signature Collection so as of now Boardwalk Taffy is on sale online and should be in stores too. I urge you to stock up while you can because it is truly a beautiful scent that’s well worth hoarding.

It took me a while to figure out what my nose was smelling when I first misted this. It hit me several minutes! It smells like Strawberry Starburst! There’s this gorgeous chewy, slightly tart strawberry Starburst note in this scent that makes smells almost edible! As in I want to lick my arm when I apply this. Strawberry comes in strong at first but as the mist settles on your skin you’ll find the sugary vanilla comes into play and combines with the strawberry to create this pretty strawberries and cream fragrance that smells good enough to eat. I wouldn’t called this a taffy fragrance or even a cotton candy one but it is very unique and very pretty especially if you like sweet, gourmand fragrances.

All in all, Bath and Body Works Taffy smells like a strawberry Starburst and good enough to eat.

Hoard it.

Yes, I bought this one, and love it. I bought a few of their other new ones too, the beachy scent ones that came out, but this one is my favorite. I can’t wait to see what they have for fall, which I’m assuming is coming out soon!

This sounds amazing! Also as if there will be fall scents coming out soon. We were planning on visiting the states this autumn and my husband was also meant to be travelling to Dallas for work so I was excited for a few BBW hauls, but I don’t think that’s happening just yet! At least we are safe (and I still have three body sprays left from last time I travelled across the pond )

Hope you are keeping well Muse ☺️

I hope things are better when you get here Kay. Are you headed to NY? Our curve is almost flat now! thank goodness! Fall is on the horizon 😀

      • Kay

Yes! We were headed for NY and then to Boston, we wanted to visit a couple of cities in one trip! Where we live in particular has slightly different rules to the rest of the U.K. so we’re just waiting to see what the travel situation will be for us from here really. Great to hear the curve is flattening for you now

I haven’t checked up on Boston but I think they are doing well too! So far we are doing ok but we have to remain diligent! Hopefully travel bans will be lifted and you can travel again! Be careful as NY does have quarantine for travellers in place. 14 days of isolation when arriving in New York. That could be your entire vacation :-O!

          • Kay

Yes we did see something about the quarantine period so we are keeping an eye on that! To be honest we’re considering delaying until next autumn just because things might be a bit more settled then 🙂 I think this could be quite a tough year for travel. But we’ll get there in the end and I can’t wait!

I sure hope so! I wish things get better sooner rather than later 🙁 We always do! We’re strong 🙂
