5 stars out of 5

Etude House Cookie Class Play Color Eyes Mini is one of four new 6-Pan Eyeshadow Palettes that launched a few months ago in Korea. Etude House typically releases Play Color Eyes Minis during the Holidays so it’s kind of a surprise to have them release not one but four permanent ones.

Of course, I had to buy all four of them because oh my god so cute. Who doesn’t want an eyeshadow palette called Cookie Class right? This past Fall, I really put a lot of effort into my baking skills. You know me, I simply don’t cook! I could hurt myself or someone else if I try! But I was very adult when Fall settled in last year and I was making thumb print cookies and brownies with the best of ’em! Granted, they aren’t they aren’t holding a spot for on the Great British Baking Show just yet but I’m working on it.

Cookie Class contains six shades that Etude House likens to freshly baked cookie brown colors. Basically that translates as they are a selection of brown nudes and naturals! Just my shade range of choice.

Here’s a look at the palette with swatches and my review. THIS POST WILL BE UPDATED WITH SWATCH PHOTOS.

Etude House Cookie Class Play Color Eyes Mini arrives in a tiny little box decorated with gingerbread and pretzels. The palette is also decorated with the same design, inside you’ll find the six shades covered by a clear film that has each name printed on it, there’s also contains a mirror. This is pretty tiny and about the size of a business card but the eyeshadow wells are generously sized and plenty big enough for your sponge applicator or brush to fit into. Unlike the original Play Color Eyes Palette this does not contain applicators for application. You get three soft, buttery mattes, two velvety satins, and one shimmer shade.

Oddly enough, this mini packs more punch than a regular-sized Play Color Eyes Eyeshadow Palette! The shades all have very good pigment and the formula is buttery and smooth without fall out. Even the shimmer shade has excellent pigment. The colors all apply and build flawlessly on my eyes. I always find the Play Color Eyes Palette accent eyes beautifully but never overwhelm them so you can get a nice, natural look from this palette. I particularly like the fact that many of the shades worked great all their own (like Pumpkin Butter Cookie! Such a nice, natural dune shades on my eyes) as a color wash but still managed to work together as well without blending into a muddy mess! The shades contrasted very nicely.

No, sadly the shades aren’t unique or different and I’m sure you have these in many different palettes you already own. That being said, I still love it! It’s a great easy to travel with and store eyeshadow palette with shades that work well together to create a variety of nude, natural looks. I’d totally recommend picking it up if you like Etude House eyeshadows! I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised that the quality is even better than some of their bigger palettes.

This is such a cute palette! Sure, the shades are easily dupable but these are the colors I reach for most often. I love that they aren’t too orange, they look very good on you. I am actually more fond of smaller palettes, I own some bigger ones and tend to use the same few shades, so this is perfect!

it really is adorable and the shades are soooo wearable 😀 Thank you! <3! I have to admit sometimes I tend to use smaller palettes more than bigger ones!

Nice! Nude colors are what I use the most & the hoarder in me feels that I can’t have too many. The small palettes are what I like too, b/c they feel less bulky in my hand.

hey violet! How ya doing over there? Also, they store a lot easier when we have 100000 of palettes already ;-D

My favourite colours for eyes, love the small size and option of shimmer. Thank you! Side note, you have the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen. (hope that’s not creepy)
