If I Wasn’t Beauty Blogging I Would….

Good Morning world!

How’s Tuesday treating you so far? I’ve been since 4:45AM and grinding away over here. One key factor in getting things done early in the AM for me, because I’m a zombie in the morning, is try to keep my phone off and away from me. If I get my phone in my hand I’m dead in the water! I’ll start checking my work e-mail and replying, I’ll start replying to dms, I’ll want to see if any new comments popped up on the blog, and of course, I’ll start checking social media. It’s easy to fall into a vortex. Typically for me I just leave my phone off when I go to bed at night and I don’t turn it on right away when I get up in the morning. I’ll turn it on around 7:30AM-8ish AM and start getting into my virtual life. But between 4:45AM and that time of turning on my phone and checking my first e-mail I try get a few me things done like taking my morning power walk, showering and putting on my face, taking pictures for the blog, and just prepping for my day ahead.

I had an entire chore list yesterday which I typically share on Insta-stories because some of you guys are my soulmates and twins when it comes to cleaning. Some of the DMs I get are hysterical, some super helpful, and some are just plain clever when it comes to cleaning up at home and organizing stuff. Thank you for sharing in my “hinching” adventures.

Hinching: Originated from MrsHinch aka Sophie Hinchliffe a social influencer and cleansing sensation. Hinching pretty much means to clean and organize.

For me Mrs Hinch is pretty much the modern day Heloise!

I was thinking about it yesterday and if I wasn’t beauty blogging I would…

Totally start a cleaning and organization blog! I swear I might just do that one day! It all started when my mom gave me a Hints from Heloise binder many, many, many, many years ago. It was basically a binder filled with little cards that had all these helpful tips and tricks for cleaning your house. Getting stains off shirts, cleansing up greasy stains on your oven, making your windows shine, basically the binder had a little tip and trick for everything you could possibly think of regarding household upkeep.

I think it’s what started my obsession with keeping things neat, tidy, and well organized.

I think I’d also totally dig doing like a stationary blog too. Because I have a bit of a pen, paper, notepad, notebook obsession. I’m pretty sure the people that ship at the Kawaii Pen Shop are all like, “Oh here’s another order from THIS girl again!” Thankfully all the new school supplies are popping up in stores so I can get my fix even though I have doubts school might not happen this year.

If you started a blog what would you write about?

Gaming?

Makeup?

Cleaning?

Stationary?

Mom-ing?

Do share!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Chickens! Kinda obsessed with them, so people like to gift me with “Crazy Chicken Lady” themed stuff. I don’t know why, but since I was very young, I was drawn to them. I’ve always wanted to go to the 4H section of a fair and ogle them. When I moved to my present location, I found out that it was legal to have them in your backyard as long as no one complained. I give all of my extra eggs to the neighbors cos they assure me that they actually enjoy the sounds of my crowing roosters. I enjoy hatching chicks in an incubator and then giving them to broody hens to raise. So damn cute to watch a mother hen take care of her chicks! They get to free range in my backyard, so we also benefit from living yard art. Hubby is crazy about them now and spoils them rotten. Pretty pets that give you breakfast… perfection! Oh, I also adopted an older German Shepherd from a rescue group and from the moment she saw them, she protected the chickens like they’re her puppies. Such a good dog!

LOL oh my gosh really? I hear they have pretty cool personalities! Is that true? That is the most ADORABLE story ever! “Pretty pets that give you breakfast!” LOL too cute!

Like people, they all have different personalities. Most are sweet and friendly, but some are jerks. They can be affectionate. We have a tiny hen about the size of a small dove that loves to fly up and ride on our shoulders. Another will greet us like a dog and follow us around. If we stand still, she’ll sit on our feet. A large old hen likes to sleep or preen on our laps. Sometimes she’ll preen us too lol!

Yay! I’d love to know as much about chickens….and cows…and goats as i do about dogs/breeds.

I’d probably do a book blog but if you start a stationary blog that would be awesome!

      I’d totally co-author a book blog with you! I’m a bookworm ;-D

If I had the time I would love to do a crochet/yarn blog. I’m even more obsessed with crochet and yarn than I am makeup….well….at least equally as passionate. 😉 Those are my two obsessions. I know my husband would love it if I wouldn’t hoard so much of either one, but hey…we all have our vices, right?!? haha! It’s better than having booze hidden all over the house.
