Make Up For Ever Matte Velvet Skin High Coverage Multi-Use Concealer ($27) launched today in 22 shades today at sephora.com and I’m wondering could it be the next Tarte Shape Tape Concealer? Same larger applicator, matte, full coverage, hmmmm! Sounds like Tarte Shape Tape doesn’t it? But guess what? I like Shape Tape and to this day I haven’t really found a Make Up For Ever Concealer I actually like. I dunno why that is either…! But I’m tempted by Matte Velvet Skin High Coverage Multi-Use Concealer! I could be convinced to try this one especially with the natural matte finish promise.

The formula is full coverage and provides a blurring effect with a water, sweet, and transfer proof formula that’s lightweight and what they dub as “airy”. That sounds very promising! Now to find a shade as I can never find a good Make Up For Ever shade that to fit me. What do you think of this formula? Think it’ll work for you?

Make Up For Ever Matte Velvet Skin High Coverage Multi-Use Concealer is available now at Sephora.

P.S. Happy Monday! How was your weekend? We had some odd weather where it was randomly raining on sec and crazy humid the next. But it was nice overall! Beautiful blue skies, bright sun, but oh my god humid. When the rain came it brought a ton of humidity with it. I felt like I was melting yesterday. We got up really early to go to Bear Mountain and at first it was very cool but as the day progresses phew it was hot as Hades. It was so worth it though because the view was breathtaking. But now my legs are about ready to fall off today 🙂 Haha…!

What did you do this weekend? And which concealer did you use so it didn’t melt completely off? 😉

I live in Texas, there is no effing way I wear anything aside from mascara in the summer and only because my lashes are straight and don’t hold a curl. I need concealer but our high today is 102, I will sweat through anything like sunscreen and moisturizer and toner and stuff and I hate that sticky feeling sweat leaves behind. I am so glad to know MUF doesn’t match you either because I can’t find a good match, I’m too yellow and their stuff runs cooler. What shade of Shape Tape are you?

I hear ya on the heat! I’m not Texas over here but NY humidity can be intense at times :-/ Right now light medium beige works great for me but typically light medium sand.

Probably will try this, but not sure about the process at present. Do I want to do it without a swatch, online? IDK. As to what stayed on, uh, NOT! I think it was dermalogica biolumin-c serum, fab eye duty triple remedy, and age rewind, unset. I spent 4 midday hours 10:30-2:30 in a hospital parking lot, because wtf who wants to go in there? ~95 with equal humidity. It ran in rivulets down my face, broke up in the periorbital area. I checked the car mirror (the one my mum called the vanity mirror for small egos) and was so horrified, I wiped it off on my white vee neck tee shirt. So then, I had a big concealer smear pointing at the cleavage. Not a good look.
