My Melody & Kuromi x Wet n Wild Blush & Highlight Brush Review
Wet n Wild x My Melody & Kuromi Blush & Highlight Brush is a new, limited edition double-sided highlighter and blush makeup brush launching with the the new Wet n Wild My Melody and Kuromi Makeup Collection. Most people are going to want this as a collector’s piece and I totally get that but at this stage in my life I’ve moved past collecting. I’ve embraced a YOLO mentality with limited edition collections and I feel healthier for it. So, yup, I did crack this open and I used it! GASP! I wasn’t even tempted to grab a back up! I did keep the box though……!
I grabbed my brush at Harmons but on July 21st it’ll be available at wetnwildbeauty.com and sanrio.com as well as at ulta.com (in stores as well), Walgreens (in stores) CVS (in stores), and at target.com.
Here’s some thoughts on the My Melody & Kuromi x Wet n Wild Blush & Highlight Brush!
My Melody & Kuromi x Wet n Wild Blush & Highlight Brush is a nice size brush with pink details and a clear centered fill with glittery stars and hearts suspended in water. The brush is Made in China but not tested on animals however, there is no mention of the fibers used for the bristles. It’s a cute brush but the only real character images you’ll get of My Melody and Kuromi is on the box and outer packaging but sadly not on the handle of the brush.
The brush sizes are actually a bit odd. The highlighter side is a bit smaller and reminds me of the MAC 287. You can easily use it as an eyeshadow brush if you wanted to! It’ll work well on highbrow highlighter should you wish to use it like that. I actually like a fluffier brush with a larger head to apply highlighter but does apply color on the cheekbone area just right. The bristles are stiffer but soft and blend highlighter easily.
The blush brush side is a little smaller than the Wet n Wild Pro Brush Line Blush Brush but shaped in the same way. Again, I like bigger brush head to apply my blush but this does a good job blending color and tapping it nicely on cheek bones.
I’m not sure if it’s a brush I’ll reach for often but it’s a cute brush none the less with soft, dense bristles that didn’t shed and retained their shape when washed.
All in all, the My Melody & Kuromi x Wet n Wild Blush & Highlight is a cute pick up for fans of My Melody and Sanrio characters.
Is it on your wish list?
