Stop! Time for a Coffee Break!

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Did I ever tell you how I don’t drink coffee (well, I do have the rare occasional macchiato) but I love the smell of it and I like smelling of it? I have so many different coffee fragrances it’s downright obscene. But there’s something so cozy about a warm, creamy coffee scent. That being said when Replica released their Coffee Break Perfume at Nordstrom over the Holidays I snatched it up super fly fast. It was so disappointing. I really don’t get the coffee element in this fragrance at all! This one was more of a warm oriental blend and not really a foody, coffee scent.

That being said, the fragrance did disappear quickly off Nordstrom but good news it returns at Sephora.com this month! They now have Replica Coffee Break available in a full-size but most important of all it’s also now available in the smaller travel spray. The travel-spray is a great way to try the fragrance before deciding if you need the more expensive bigger bottle. It’ll set you back $30!

Grab it at Sephora.

Anyone try Replica Coffee Break and like it?

I read on fragrantica that it becomes an amazing coffee scent when layered with Kerosene Follow. I went on perfumecourt and got samples of both to try.

Have you tried Replica’s By the Fireplace? I just did recently and it’s the most amazingly wonderful smell to me. It smells exactly like my favorite Bath and Body Works candle. Marshmallow Fireside.

Why is it people always act so surprised if they learn you don’t drink coffee? I can’t count how many times I’ve gotten “What?!? You don’t drink coffee *ever*?!?” (Aside from the occasional frappuccino, which let’s face it, is basically a sophisticated milkshake, no I don’t.) That being said, this is def on my sniff/buy list!
Another great coffee scent is Sebastiane Espresso Royale; if you haven’t tried that one I’d recommend it.

omg I know. It’s like, “WHAT!? YOU DON’T DRINK COFFEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?” It’s some sort of crime not to drink coffee ;-D I actually have Sebastiane Espresso Royale but it goes a bit odd on me sometimes! Good scent but not the creamy coffee scent I love ;-D

It really doesn’t smell like coffee at all? I almost bought it just for the name and description-now I’m glad I didn’t!

I don’t get the coffee element at all. Could be me. I reviewed it last year, link in this post, if you want more details! It reminds me of Library a bit. I sure wish it did smell like coffee!

Hey Muse! Hope you are as awesome as ever during these times! I love your daily updates btw 🙂

I am obsessed by fragrance. My perfume library looks like the ‘fragrance wall’ at Neiman Marcus (it’s rather disturbing, but hey, we all have those favorite things we indulge in). Anywho…I have several of the Replica perfumes and was so excited when they launched this one I snagged the large bottle at Nordstrom immediately. OMG so disappointed. There is zero staying power with Replica Coffee Break. It’s so bad that I even forgot I had it until now. My favorites from Replica are Jazz Club, Whispers in the Library and By The Fireside (in that order). Replica fragrances are so unique, unfortunately Coffee Break was a major miss.

Stay beautiful, Muse! Brighter days ahead 🙂

Thank you so much ;-D I’m good thank god and I’m so glad to hear you are too and enjoying the updates! ;-D Girllllll! Me too! Me too! Perfume is my passion! Coffee Break is just weird AF. I don’t understand where they were going with it. :-/ I love Jazz Club! By the Fireside is def a favorite of mine! And Barber Shop which smells like a warm, hard hug ;-D You too my dear! You too! They are coming for sure we just have to be patient and ride through the storm!

Wow! I have been wanting to try this so badly, and have been fantasizing about buying it mostly because of the name and description. I had no idea so many people found it disappointing and that it didn’t smell like coffee. Good to know, probably saved me a lot of money.

Definitely no coffee element. There’s a weird creaminess to it, which doesn’t last at all. Spray skin, sniff quickly, scent gone, repeat. It’s that bad.

If you actually get a whiff, it smells like Philosophy Fresh Cream Warm Cashmere. This one actually has some lasting power if you’re looking for warm and creamy (just no coffee).

I have a sample of this and it grew on me. To my nose it is has a soothing lavender note which cuts the sweetness of the milky caramel coffee. I can see how if you want a purely gourmand scent this would be disappointing. I like that it is different than the run of the mill scents and I liked to wear it in the evenings because the lavender and warm notes are comforting and calming to me. It reminds me of a cozy cashmere sweater, like the one the person in the picture on the box is wearing. I am admittedly not a gourmand lover and would not like to smell like a latte or Frappuccino, but I am thinking of getting the travel size maybe in the fall during the Sephora sale.

You described it perfectly. That’s exactly what it is. I think the name hints at gourmand so that’s why lovers of gourmand, like myself, were disappointed 🙁
