5 stars out of 5

I admit I am soooo tempted by Laneige Gummy Bear Lip Sleeping Mask but Mint Choco Lip Sleeping Mask is still my favorite because I’m a traditionalist! No but seriously, sooner or later, without doubt, Gummy Bear is coming home with me. Did anyone order it yet? I need to know how it is!

Mint Choco Lip Sleeping Mask released October 2019 just in time for the Holidays and picked two up at the time and have since recently opened my second jar as although, sometimes Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask gets a bad wrap I’m a fan for life. Ok, don’t get excited, it sadly, does not taste like chocolate chip mint ice cream. I know, I know! I wanted it to as well but it only has a minty fresh flavor.

Oh well!

Can’t have it all!

Why do I love it?

If you told me pick a lip treatment and live with it for the rest of your life I’d choose this mask! It’s just one of my very favorite items since I am prone to drier lips. I know a lot of people look to Bite Beauty’s Agave Lip Mask but for me it’s always been Laneige.

This is a soft, creamy textured balm that’s thick and lightly balmy but not tacky nor sticky. It comes with a tiny little spatula which can be used to mix the mask, scoop it out, and even apply it on your lips (it even has a tiny pouch to store the spatula in). This starts out very thick but once it hits the heat of your lips it melts down it forms a shiny, protective layer around lips and and provides them with really great softening moisture. I know it’s a sleep mask but I sleep on my stomach so I don’t really apply this as an overnight treatment. I’ll apply it on Winter days before going out (yes, it’s thick but it sets to a nice shiny finish on lips and it is wearable out in my opinion), I’ll apply it as the final step in my skincare routine before going to make dinner, sitting in front of the TV, reading, or relaxing and let it do its thing, or I’ll use it as my weekend lip treatment when I’m not wearing lipstick or lipgloss out. You can wear it overnight if you like but if you sleep on your stomach or you’re restless sleeper it can be messy. I just leave it on a few hours before bed and it softens my lips up beautifully! By the time I get to bed it has worn away.

It’s very rich, very soothing especially on chapped lips, and it really doesn’t heal cracked or dry lips. All in all, a great lip treatment and I’m terribly excited it’s now available in a Gummy Bear flavor! Squeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Do you use Laneige Choco Lip Sleeping Mask?

I’ve been loving the berry flavored one for about a year now, it’s my favorite. I’ve tried the mint choco, the green apple and the candy, but don’t care for them as much. Not interested in gummy bear.

Vanilla is my favourite. I’ve ordered the Gummy Bear glowy balm but it will be a few days until I get it in my hands and on my lips.

I want the gummy bear one! My sister and I went to our favorite mall for the first time since January or February this past Sunday. I had my usual list of things to check out at Sephora, with that being high on the list. We tried to go in twice, but didn’t want to wait in line. Particularly since we probably wouldn’t be able to test anything. I will likely just order it online and see.

Other lip mask products I like are Tatcha The Kissu Lip Mask and Clarins Extra-Firming Lip & Contour Balm.

I’ve known about Laneige Lip Sleeping Masks for awhile now but have never tried them. Why do they get a bad rap??? This may sound gross but overnight especially in the winter I use this stuff called Lansinoh. It’s just lanolin in a tube. It’s actually for nursing mothers with sore nipples!!! It’s a 40g tube and I’ve had the same one for a few years now. A little goes a long way and I haven’t found any lip product as healing as this gunk. It’s super thick like vaseline but thicker still. NOT wearable out as it can leave a bit of a cloudy film. But it stays on overnight until you wash it off. No detectable taste or smell. full disclosure, my tube has long since expired but nothing has changed with it so I keep on using it. Never tried the Bite Agave Mask either. It was always sold out when I went for it. Since Bite went vegan I read a lot of bad reviews on the reformulated Agave Lip Mask. I know it’s not a “lip treatment” per say but those Maybelline Lifter Glosses are really doing it for me right now.

just a lot of people say they aren’t moisturizing enough or they are a pain to sleep with as they are messy. I typically use this or anything from lanolips! 🙂 Neveer tried Laninsoh but hey whatever works!
