5 stars out of 5

I picked up one of the Etude House Better Lips-Talk Lipstick shades from the Muhly Romance Fall 2020 Collection! If you haven’t read it yet I already reviewed the Etude House Play Color Eyes Muhly Romance Palette as well that this lipstick pairs up quite nicely with!

Muhly Romance Better Lips-Talk Velvet are available in three shades. The shades are new (and the packaging) for Fall 2020 but the actual formula is available permanent from Etude House in a larger range of shades. I actually sort of wanted all three shades but at the time only one was in stock.

Etude House Muhly Romance Better Lips-Talk Lipstick come in limited edition packaging which is a rubberized barrel and an terracotta rose ombre shade that has rose gold accents and a magnetic closure. It’s a very pretty packaging that feels really Fall-like and matches the palette’s packaging perfectly.

I picked up the shade BR408 Sunset Picnic which is a rich burnt terracotta orange. It’s a gorgeous Fall foliage shade that has a bold color pay off or you can apply it lightly for a sheerer lip look. It’s matte in finish and has a velvety texture that glides onto lips easily with a powdery feel that wears surprisingly comfortable on my drier lips without being dry. The color doesn’t fall into my natural lip lines and has a nice, smooth finish. The texture is quite nice for a matte without any dragging or tugging during application and it wears for a solid five to six hours that leaves a slight stain behind as it fades. It has no fragrance nor flavor.

All in all, a beautiful shade and lipstick formula for Fall looks that pairs up beautifully with the palette that also launched in this collection.

This one gets a Muse Approval.

Do check them out before they disappear!

Out of stock on this lipstick too. I will have to try looking for it locally! Such a pretty collection, I want it all lol.

I was looking at the Etude House website, the palette was sold out. I will have to buy it elsewhere as regular parcels from Asia will take months to get here in Canada because of the pandemic.

Oh! I hate their site! The shipping sucks, cs is awful, I tend to buy from my fav ebay sellers!

Thank goodness I just read your comment before I made the purchase at Etude House’s site! The palette is back in stock, I thought I’d come back to see what you said. I am going to buy it from ebay like you suggest. I noticed the other 9-pan palettes, I may pick up other shades too. These are made in Korea (as opposed to China for the Huda palettes) so I prefer that. You are a lifesaver!! I really miss your Korean and Japanese beauty reviews, I love their eyeshadows so much. 🙂

I have had crummy experiences with them 🙁 Twice items broke and they don’t want to send a replacement 🙁 It’s annoying. I boycotted them because they pissed me off so bad! Aww thanks <3! I try to fit in some K Beauty here and there! and J Beauty (which I've been really bad with lately). I'll start doing them again <3! it's always nice hearing someone enjoys them!

Vowed I’d never get another rubberized tube, after all the Nars barrels died before the product. Tempting, though. Great shade and tube design. Rubberized looks great, even if it has no shelf life.

Wow, thanks for sharing that unfortunate experience, Isabella! I will not buy from the Etude House site, it’s not good when they don’t want to pay up for damaged goods. I bought two Pat McGrath palettes from Sephora once, they just shipped them in a padded envelope and everything arrived smashed inside. I contacted Sephora and they refunded me right away. I am always very leery of places that don’t ship in a box or pack the items properly and then refuse to refund you.

I also picked up the Etude House 9-pan palette in Chilly Moon in addition to Muhly Romance (palette plus one of the lipsticks). I am so excited! 🙂
