About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. If you’re that person feel free to reach out and leave a comment or follow me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Bloglovin‘.

These look pretty interesting . I’m more interested in the mystery set . Also the color changing balms look pretty cool too , especially since they have a matcha flavor .

I saw these two days ago on Ulta.com and decided to pop into my local store since the app said they were in stock. (And now they’re out of stock online and aren’t even showing up on the site.) I picked up all four and they’re…fine. They’re workable shadows though the glitter shades have some fallout and chunkiness, but overall the color stories are more cohesive imo than the last palettes in the collection. The lippies are sheer and balmy but feel good. The highlighters are a pain because they’re loose balls in a jar; they’re very metallic and sheer out to be kind of sparkly :/ . The liners are very cute and my favorite pieces; the “quill” part pulls out to be a nice small liner brush. The Ravenclaw liner was the sheerest, the others work fine though they are a tad too creamy. It’s hard to create a precise line. I think they’d works good as cream shadows. Overall I think the boxes are cute for someone who loves Harry Potter and not too picky about the quality of their makeup. Definitely more of a “collector” thing. I’m keeping the liners for myself because the aesthetic is ::chef kiss:: but passing on the shadows and highlighters to my teenage niece.

Omg thanks for the mini review! I saw them in store but didn’t pick any of them up! It seems like more a collector’s thing for sure!

Looks like they’re back in stock online! I think they’d make nice gifts for HP loving friends.
