It’s Election Day and That’s Scary But It’s Also, Gonna To Be Ok

Hello there.

Been a while since we talked….! I haven’t really been too chatty lately I know. Even my review process sucks. There’s been a lot going on in the world and it’s definitely harder to focus my mind on makeup sometimes! I appreciate all of your comments, dming me on Instagram, or tweeting me! It’s always lovely to hear from each and every single one of you.

Well, today’s Election Day. It’s sort of a scary day. But change is always scary isn’t it? I just want you to know that I understand how you’re feeling today and every day for the last several months. I’m anxious too, I’m paranoid too, I’m scared too! I hope you know that you can always stop by here to make yourself feel a little better! There’s never judgement here, there’s always laughter and a smile, and above all else I accept you no matter what. I’m not here to judge your sexuality, who you vote for, what the color of your skin is, how much money you have,…hell, I won’t even say a word about how much you love matte lipstick when I don’t….I am however here to be your friend and fellow beauty lover no matter what.

Try not to be scared today. Be the strong humans I know you are.

It’s all going to be ok no matter what happens today, tomorrow, or next week! There’s light at the end of the dark tunnel.

Keep fighting the good fight.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. If you’re that person feel free to reach out and leave a comment or follow me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Bloglovin‘.

Thanks for the pep talk and providing a place to come and escape. I am definitely anxious and probably will be for a few days or however long it takes until this is over.

I’ve rarely commented before but your blog and Temptalia have been my warm fuzzy places to go to amidst the chaos; there’s nothing like pretty pictures of beauty products and warm banter to cheer one up. I think I remember you mentioning feeling a little guilty about focusing on beauty during Covid and lockdowns but I think it helps people feel more connected and gives us something on which to focus that’s fun and pretty.

Aw Glenda that warms my heart 🙂 I always feel guilty blogging makeup when there’s so much chaos surrounding us but comments like this really help keep me motivated! We all need a safe space to get away from the crazy!
