CeraVe Hydrating Cream-to-Foam Cleanser ($14.99) is a new creamy cleanser that contains ceramides, niacinamide, and Hyaluronic Acid. This is one of those Tiktok made me do it purchases. I swear CeraVe has literally disappeared off shelves in New York lately. It’s all due to social media in particular it’s due to Tiktok as everyone and their mom is on Tiktok recommending CeraVe. I follow a few dermatologists on Tiktok who have basically drilled into me that I need to start using CeraVe cleansers.

So here I am with CeraVe Hydrating Cream-to-Foam Cleanser as my new second cleanse product of choice.

If you do double cleanse I’m sure the second part of your cleanse is a gentle one. Typically you’ll want to stick to a cleanser cream or milk that will restore the pH level in your skin or at the least not leave you feeling tight and dry after that final cleanse. I typically do a balm or oil as my first cleanse and I follow up with a foaming cleanser. That can be a bit too much during the cooler weather for me so my goal in the Winter is to switch up to a cleansing milk or a low lather cleanser for the second and final step of my cleansing routine.

I recently switched up to CeraVe Hydrating Cream-to-Foam Cleanser and it’s one of the smarter things I’ve done in my cleansing routine. This looks like a lightweight lotion and produces very little lather. It has zero fragrance and the texture feels lightly hydrating when applied. It rinses clean away and doesn’t leave my skin tight or dry after use but best of all it really does cleansing my face. I’ve used it to remove makeup without the aid of a cleansing balm or oil on it’s own and it does a great job removing makeup but I personally love it as the second portion of my cleanse.

The formula fairly simple but much of the “better” ingredients are lower on the list so I’m unsure how beneficial they’ll be! Like many of the ceramides are the 10th or so on the list so who knows how good beneficial these are with so little in the cleanser. That being said, I felt like this didn’t leave my skin tight nor dry and I felt very smooth and soft after using this.

All in all, the joy of CeraVe Hydrating Cream-to-Foam Cleanser is the fact it’s so basic. This is a simple but effective cleanser that won’t leave you feeling dry or tight.

A great pick for those that double cleanse!

Whoo! When did drugstore cleanser get so expensive?

My face is the Sahara dessert right now with eczema patches, so I might try this. I’m currently using a low foaming cleanser from Pacifica, but this looks more hydrating since it’s thicker and has ceramides in it.
