Dr Strum is Over Here Selling $100 Face Masks Like We’re Going to Buy Them

Dr Barbara Strum has a four pack of nano-silver face masks for $118. I appreciate the fact these are non-silver masks! I really do! But no way am I going to spend $118 on four masks! I’ve def purchased some expensive packs of mask this year but they were typically in bulk and around $5-$10 each at most. We all want to be protected right now and we’re all doing our best to stay safe but I’m not sure we need to spend over $118 on face masks.

    I spent $25 for a pack of 5 reusable Johnny Was masks, which is as close to affording that brand as I will ever get. They are gorgeous! But $118? No way.

      Me, too. My 5/$25 Johnny Was masks are my fancy cloth mask. I also spent $96 on some Korean KF94s, but that was for a box of 50.

        I’ve spent $$ on KF94s too but I got them in a way bigger bulk! 5 for $118 is crazy!

    I’ve spent $5 per mask that I’ve gotten through a guy at work, great quality washable ones and I have the insertable extra filters for the pocket for an extra protective layer.
    I am not impressed with Dr. Strurm’s very expensive line in general.. It should be top-notch for that price, but there’s much better for much less money. You’re paying for the name only.

    The most I spent was $15 for one. Multi layered with a slot for filter. Very nice and wear it a lot and that was purchased right when things were shutting down. I’ve been getting multi packs for that same price recently. Would never spend that amount for a mask!

    She’s a crackpot to begin with, given her views on sunscreen, so I’ll never buy from her even if I have money to burn. As for $118 for four masks . . .there are a lot of folks hurting right now that we could donate to who could use food, housing, and other basic needs. I’ll keep using my basic washable masks.

    Holy wtf. There are def other Sturm products I’d spring for, before these masks. Maybe I’ll send a mum/daughter twinsie pack to Kylie and Stormi. They can carry the spares in their matching Birkin bags! I have ordered ‘cute’ masks from Redbubble and Etsy, some as gifts. I think the priciest was ~15$. One came from Liberty/London and was duty free. I love the parody masks, like Munch’s The Scream, with a mask and gloves on. Prob is, at day job, we have to wear surgicals. I also have a speech pathologist one that says in phonetics ‘Mask up, bitch.’ Since it’s phonetics, very few can read it. My humor is far darker than yours…

    Nano-silver kills bacteria. It’s a fantastic idea. Amazon has two for $20.00

    I bought a mask on Etsy, I believe it was 18.00. Its a huge wide toothy grin with red lipstick. I get lots of smiles and comments when I wear it in public. Its very thin though, I need to wear it over a paper mask.

    I bought a $10 Halloween mask randomly at the UPS Store near me. It had pumpkins and black kitties so ten bucks well spent!

    $118 for 5 face masks?!?! She has some nerve, especially with the state of things from the pandemic. I don’t even feel that I need to expand on this topic. It’s laughable and an OBSCENE amount of money to charge. Ridiculous!!!!!

    I feel like this brand is so overrated for what it is. U always hear celebrities blabbing about how great this brand is & personally I’ve tried the face cream & i didn’t think it was anything special it was just a sample size. Her prices are outrageous.
