Escada Candy Love Perfume is a limited edition, new gourmand fragrance that launched just in time for Valentine’s Day with delicious notes of Candy Apple accord and vanilla whipped cream. Escada Candy Love is actually one of two new scents that launched this year! The other scent is called Summer Festival. It’s fairly typical for Escada to do a Spring/Summer fragrance launch but they very rarely release two fragrances in one season! Getting both was a nice little treat for this Escada fan! I haven’t tried Summer Festival yet but I will soon and let you know what I think but right now my eye has been on Candy Love.

I heard about Candy Love some months ago and was quite envious that Europe got it before us! I am a self confessed lover of gourmands. I adore fruity, sweet, candy, and food-y fragrances! Candy Love sounded like it fit the bill perfectly with it’s delicious notes of sweet candy apple and yummy whipped cream.

I can honestly say it didn’t disappoint but I can be honest here and say it’s not a fragrance everyone will love.

Escada Candy Love is available in three sizes ranging from 1 oz all the way up to 3.3 oz. I have not yet seen a 3.4 oz bottle available for sale outside of a gift set that’s available at kohls.com which includes the larger bottle along with a makeup bag for $83. The stores in my area are completely sold out of the gift set and I ended up purchasing it online. I would recommend the larger bottle as this is bound to disappear at some point and Escada fragrances sadly never return (I’m still yearning for Tropical Punch!). I was considering buying a backup! Outside of Kohl’s I have yet to see this anywhere else aside but recently qvc.com got the larger bottle in stock and it’s a nice price at $69 but it does not come with the makeup bag which is fine as you can see the makeup bag cost you over $20!

The fragrance comes in a heart-shaped bottle that does stand up by itself. There’s nothing worst than a fragrance bottle that isn’t free standing! I’m talking to you Angel Muse! It’s very cute packaging and display worthy if you like sweet pink things hanging around your makeup vanity.

This is most definitely a girlish fragrance and that’s why I mentioned above that not everyone will enjoy it. Some people like more sophisticated gourmands and Escada Candy Love is not that. It’s sweet, it’s girly, and it’s playful! I do think the scent isn’t exactly my demographic but I adored it and I really could care less that I smell like candy and whipped cream! Bring it on!

I found the notes incredibly realistic. Right at first spray you’ll get crunchy candy apple followed up with whipped topping! It’s sweet, fruity, and mouthwatering. They have a promo image showing a candy apple with whipped topping on it and I swear it smells exactly like that image. I’ll look at that promo image and instantly this scent will come to my mind. It’s just pure candy apple and whipped cream. I actually don’t get any rose here but I do get a touch of warmth from caramel but aside from that it’s straight crunchy red apple, topped with a crunchy candy shell, and whipped topping swirled right on top!

This scent has nice throw and surrounds the user in delectable candy. It’s not long wearing on me though! I can only get about four hours before it starts to fade away.

All in all, Escada Candy Love Perfume is promoted with some incredible promotional images and I can honestly say the scent totally lives up to them! This is a fun, flirty, sweet gourmand that should appeal to fans of this style of fragrance!

I highly recommend it.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Keep the fragrance reviews coming…and consider reviewing the men’s fragrances you get for your male SOs.

I wanted to buy it when I saw the presentation on QVC but I was waiting for your review. I think I’ll check Kohl’s now.

Oh, and I bought Summer Festival and I love it. It reminds me of something I can place but it’s very sweet.

I bought this almost a year ago at chemist warehouse. I’m definitely a fan of sweet fruity scents and if u are it’s perfect not weak but not too strong. Definitely not for everyone but exactly right for me. I did get lots of compliments on it and the bottle is too cute. Would like get again. <3
