Fenty Flash Nap Instant Revival Eye Gel-Cream is a new cooling eye cream that hydrates while visibly brightening and firming the delicate skin under eyes. This formula acts to de-puff and treat darkness.

It’s available in two flavors. I mean, not like edible flavors although I would not write off edible eye cream (because all of you would be lying if you say you haven’t had the thought cross you mind about eating or licking your makeup or skincare at some point in you in your beauty life) but more along the lines of you can buy a 0.5 oz tube all its lonesome for $32 or you can buy a tube that comes with a tiny little cooling eye roller. Yeah, I know, I don’t need another eye roller in m life but you know I totally want it. It’s so teeny tiny and cute.

But eye rollers aside let’s break this bad boy down because we need to take a look at all these promises their making us about puffiness and dark circles. First off, nada is gonna help you if you have puffy eyes due to water retention or just age. Caffeine is a great fix that makes an appearance in many eye creams to treat puffiness. I’ll take a caffeinated eye cream any damn of the week when I was up to late gaming or I was staring at my monitor too long because it really does act to depuff eyes. But again, this won’t help if you’re carrying around your best luggage under your eyes due to water retention, aging, or just genes.

Riri’s formula contains Hyaluronic Acid which is great to hydrate and help retain moisture but it is wayyyy down the list here. Actually, it contains more glycerin which than Hyaluronic Acid which is sort of sad. It does contain neopentyl glycol diheptanoate which is a fair enough way to hydrate plus it’ll give you that dewy feel. Dipentaerythrityl Hexa C5-9 Acid Ester is also an ingredient that hydrates. There’s a lot of hydrating factors here which are a plus!

Now this is a cooling formula but sadly, it cools using menthol. Mmmm that’s a debatable ingredient to use on your face or eyes!

So, do we need Fenty Flash Nap Instant Revival Eye Gel-Cream?

Maybe not.

There are a lot of other eye creams that can take on the task of depuffing, moisturizing, firming, and plumping up the skin under your eyes and Fenty’s formula is a little meh to take all that on.

What do you think?

Riri, if you’re listening, I’ll totally take the little eye roller if you sold it by itself!
