A Love List for Friday: Windy Days, Loki, Beauty Hauls, and Vintage Makeup

Good Morning!

The rain has disappeared today and it’s replaced with a cold, blustery day. This always makes me think of Winnie the Pooh and the Blustery Day when Piglet is nearly blown away! There are a lot of trees surrounding my house so I can hear the wind race through them as I work today. Since I live in an old Victorian home I can hear the creaking of the house as the wind blows against it. I’m starting my day in the living room but I’ve had to lock my sweet baby out because I have a fire going and she likes to lay by it until she’s a piece of burnt toast with no butter. She’s currently in the big chair in the foyer but every so often I’ll hear her jump down and the pitter patter of her feet will walk back and fourth by the large sliding wooden doors of the living room in the hopes they’ll magically slide open and let her in. Sadly, she won’t be joining me until the fire burns down. Depressingly my playlist decided to play Act IV of La Bohème! I dunno if Mimi on her death bed is the right vibe for Friday but I’ll take it as it fits the windy day for some odd reason or another. I do know that windy days pass the vibe check for this love list. There’s something terribly cozy about a windy day! Knowing you’re tucked up safe inside while the wind huffs and puffs outside!

Today’s love list consists of Loki! Lots and lots of Loki! Disney+ is the gift that keeps on giving! They have so many new series coming out it’s absurd! Star Wars geeks like me almost expired in absolute joy after all those new releases were announced several weeks ago but now they are giving us geeks some more with a new Loki series that’s coming in a few short months (June). I can’t be the only one excited about this right?

Sales lots and lots of sales make up my love list today! There’s so many things on sale at the moment. Today I’m partaking of the Kopari sale as they have 20% off sitewide with free shipping on orders of $20. I can stock up on deo (their natural deo is the only one that works for me). I’m also going to finally try their Coconut Latte Hydrating Gel Body Wash with Caffeine and Macadamia Seed Oil has anyone tried it? I need to know if it’s a hit or a miss! I’m gonna grab some Coconut Melt too as I go through this stuff like water!

It’s a treat yourself kind of day I guess because I’m also taking advantage of the SokoGlam 20% Off sale! Use code FRESHSTART for 20% off sitewide! I’m gonna stock up on some face masks and my CosRX favs! Have you taken advantage of any sales this week? I just snagged a back up of Champagne Pop as well all Becca Highlighters are 50% Off. I thought I’d get it before Becca starts some sort of mega sale and I miss out!

On the topic of beauty and hauls I also gave in and purchased that new Hourglass eye balm! I read a few reviews saying how rich and thick it is and I was like, “Yup! My dry eyes need it!” Maybe I’ll love it as much as Charlotte Tilbury’s Magic Eye Rescue Cream! I also picked up the Peace Out Retinol Eye Stick.

Friday………! Friday is on my love list. It’s been a long and exhausting work week and I’m very much looking forward to relaxing. The weather is supposed to be nice this weekend so maybe we can kiss all this rain and wind goodbye and enjoy a nice sunny weekend!

And finally, vintage makeup makes today’s love list ;-D I found some Maybelline Kissing Koolers on E-bay last night and I have to admit some part of me was tempted to purchase them just for nostalgia’s sake! Don’t you just love seeing ads and old makeup from the past? They evoke such good memories!

What’s on your Friday love list?

Do share!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Love List:
    – my sweet peas, carnations and rudbeckia have sprouted! The cornflowers just went in three days ago, so nothing from them yet. I’m trying soil blocking this year; fingers crossed. I’ve also got several seeds winter planted in milk jugs outside.
    – the book Arabic Script Hacking is changing my ability to learn Arabic from Duolingo!
    – Still not in a position to buy any makeup, but I have a list and a half. Give me all the 19/99 pencils and two or three of the Jones Road pencils. I want to buy makeup so much that I’ve dreamt two times of makeup shopping in the last week.

Yay! I’m jealous! I’m a little concerned about my tulips this year but hopefully they’ll be ok! You’re learning Arabic!? That’s incredible! 😉 Shop your own collection Jane! Organizing the makeup you already have will totally cure your lemmings 😀

You got the PeaceOut Encapsulated Retinol! Excellent. I’ve been doing makeshift eye creams.
Coconut oil based lip balms I stroke on my eyes from the outside in. Coconut oil seems the only kind slippery enough. Works better on eyes than on lips. Another makeshift eye cream, moisturizers for sensitive skin. Less likely to sting around eyes. Currently using La Roche-Posay Toleriane Sensitive because it comes in a small plastic tube with a narrow tip opening perfect for squeezing right amount on eyelid.

Hi, I accidentally commented on another item by accident, oops! Are you going to review the eye balm? Am very interested in how it compares to the Shiseido Benefiance eye cream. My face is oily but under eyes are dry. Thank you!
