Is Bare Minerals Original Liquid Mineral Concealer Actually Bare Minerals bareSkin Complete Coverage Serum Concealer?

As you may know I’m a massive fan of bareMinerals bareSkin Complete Coverage Serum Concealer and I noticed that Bare Minerals Original Liquid Mineral Concealer at ulta.com this morning which instantly had me curious if they are somehow renaming the old Serum Concealer and replacing it with this new “Original” formula. Hmmmmmmm! I know the Serum Concealer is sorely lacking in shades! It’s available in six shades total where as the new Bare Minerals Original Liquid Mineral Concealer is available in 17! I did take notice that right now Ulta only carries four shades of the Serum Concealer.

I don’t mind the extension of shades or revamp of the name! I just hope the formula stays the same if that is what they are doing!

The Original Liquid Mineral Concealer is a clean and vegan concealer with 90% naturally derived ingredients that provides medium buildable coverage to visibly brighten dark circles. This is a liquid formula and it’s formulated without silicone, parabens, talc or oil.

It’s a little higher priced compared to Serum Concealer at $25 versus $24 but if it’s good I can’t say an extra dollar bothers me.

I have high hopes for this formula because Serum Concealer is simply outstanding so if they took that formula and improved upon it I’m sure it’ll be brilliant.

Let’s just hope they didn’t ruin it!

    I don’t know if the new concealer is new version of the old concealer or if it is actually a brand new concealer to go along with their brand new Liquid Mineral Foundation…but what I do know is that I can’t find a shade to match me in either one! 🙁 I love bareMinerals and it’s the only brand I wear, but it frustrates me when they come out with new products and I can’t find shades that work for me. I have started wearing Bisque as my foundation because it is what matches my skin tone the best…I am light with a neutral undertone and I find that a lot of their shades have too much yellow in them for me…aarrgg

      You aren’t alone. I like something with a light apricot or peach undertone but they really don’t have that. Much of it is a beige or yellow undertone! It seems like it’s a revamp of the serum concealer with new shades but I could be wrong! I love the Serum one but honestly, even that the shades were off for me!
