Bath & Body Works Hibiscus Paradise Eau de Parfum Review
Bath & Body Works Hibiscus Paradise Eau de Parfum is a new tropical fragrance with notes pink hibiscus, juicy guava and coconut. It’s one of Bath and Body Works standard Hawaiian inspired scents they release when Spring starts to roll in which makes it rather repetitive and not terribly unique. Don’t mind me I’m grumpy Bath & Body Works keeps churning out endless tropical scents for the Spring. I just want something new and exciting!
That being said Bath & Body Works Hibiscus Paradise is a lovely scent but more ranting ahead.
This is expensive. I’m sorry but for this size come on! This is 1.7 oz in size for $40. I’ve spent $240 on a Killian fragrance of the same size of a Bath & Body Works one at $40 just boggles my mind! I wish they’d start doing 3.7 oz sizes again. When they first started doing perfumes they did offer in a larger size! I dunno why they stopped. I think it’s also crummy because if you get particularly attached to one of the perfumes and it’s limited edition at least at a larger size you can cherish it a little longer!
I like the scent but as with most Bath and Body Works fragrance it’s just a fleeting in the moment kind of thing. You need to layer to get the best throw and wear. On it’s own this will last for two or so hours before disappearing. It’s not hard hitting and does have close to the skin wear.
It’s actually very beautiful though!
I don’t get the guava note here. Guava can be sweet but also have a certain tartness and I don’t get that at all here. At first mist you get full on creamy coconut and as it settles onto your skin you get the soft, delicate notes of hibiscus. It’s the essence of a tropical island! The beautiful full blooms of the hibiscus flower swaying in the ocean breeze. It’s creamy, slightly sweet, with the soft notes of the hibiscus to round it all off! It’s very pretty, very tropical, and very easy to wear. I get more Summer vibes from it versus Spring ones but whenever you wear it it’ll bring you to a tropical island vacation.
I do wish Bath & Body Works Hibiscus Paradise Eau de Parfum was a smidge cheaper considering it wears such a short time but all in all, it’s a lovely scent and should be appealing to those that love tropical floral blends.
