Beauty Confession: I’ve Become Addicted to Ear Wax TikToks

You know that amazing satisfying feeling of yanking off a Biore nose strip and feeling so satisfied staring down at the used strip. It really feels like you’ve accomplished something when you rip off a nose strip and find a bunch of disgusting plugs embedded into it. That sense of accomplishment sometimes stems to other weird and unusual things like popping a pimple or ripping the scab off a forbidden cut or sometimes just ripping a hang nail!

What is wrong with us?

I’ve actually furthered my weird by becoming addicted to ear wax Tiktoks….! Like WTF is going on here!? There are ear doctors on Tiktok that post short videos of them picking or rinsing out ear wax and it’s the oddest and most satisfying thing to watch!

I must have the cleanest ears in world because I’ve never seen anything in my life like the balls of wax these doctor’s are picking out of ears. They are massive chunks of wax! Like wax balls the size of a golf ball! It’s horrifying and satisfying and addicting to watch….!

I even went so far as to search a few on youTube and those are equally gross and fascinating to watch!

Ear wax Tiktok is better than thirst trap Tiktok (if you’re not watching Patrick making Kylo Ren (and his girlfriend) look all hot and sexy are you even a Star Wars fan?)

So, now you know how weird I truly am!

But don’t sit there and judge me because I know you totally looked at that Biore Nose Strip after yanking it out. I consider ear wax Tiktok in the same realm!

Go ahead and leave your weird and unusual beauty confessions below 🙂

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Excuse my comment (asking about Dr. Pimple Popper) below. I wrote it before I read the comments. Hehe I was that kid back in school that didn’t read through all of the test answers before picking one so there you go!

I actually get eczema inside my ears, so that is a hands-off zone for me! I gingerly apply hydrocortisone cream and try not to scratch; otherwise I wind up giving myself an ear infection and vertigo. (Oh, hell, who am I kidding- I’m always fussing with that area, so by default my ears are very wax-free!)

oh wow! few years ago I started developing a little eczema on my eyelids and man it was really hard to deal with! I could just imagine in your ears!

I think I have that too on one eye. I think mask wearing exacerbated it. Exhaled breath going upwards.

My husband wants for me to pluck all his ear hairs. Clipping them is inadequate.

His eyebrows are starting to get wonky too. I like plucking eyebrow hairs that grow downwards. I’ll keep the ones that grow upwards and outwards.

    Isabella,
Ooooooooooh this sounds right up my alley! Lol, I was just looking at some metal ear wax picking tool on Yes Style too. I don’t feel like I have very much wax but this tool got me thinking about what it could dig out. I’m still trying to decide if I’m brave enough to get it. Have you ever watched Dr. Pimple Popper on TLC? Good stuff but not for the faint of heart. And there was another show called My Feet Are Killing Me that sucked me in. So off subject, I just made my first iHerb purchase. Thank you for the heads up on that 20% off. I can’t wait to try that eye cream and I’d been waiting on a good sale. And what did I go and do but purchase more lip products *smacks forehead* and I just ranted on earlier this week that I was going to stop. I justified it in my mind due to the sale price and the fact that I didn’t purchase anything pricey, but still…lip products are my weakness.
