I knew this day was coming! I’ve spoke about numerous times in the past! The Peeps have finally infiltrated the makeup world! We’re ALL DOOMED! This has been coming for a while now and I’ve been watching, waiting, and preparing for P-Day and it’s finally arrived.

The Peeps are here.

Our time on Earth is very limited. They pretty much invaded everything else! Coffee Creamer, Milk (Yes, there’s flavored Peep milk), toys, candy, shower gel…they have slowly and steadily invaded every corner of the market and you know what? They aren’t seasonal! They aren’t here for Easter and gone within a month! Absolutely not. They come around Halloween and they come around Summer in jolly watermelon flavors….! They are everywhere and now they are in the makeup world.

Believe me when I say one day you’re going to wake up and there’s going to be a President Peep! It’s just a matter of time.

This Spring there invading our makeup world with the HipDot Peeps Pigment Palette and Hipdots Peeps Makeup Sponge Set! Awww so cute you’re all saying and thinking but wait, they have an evil agenda and it’s to take over the world!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. If you’re that person feel free to reach out and leave a comment or follow me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Bloglovin‘.

Can you change your title…that type of language isn’t necessary. Peace

    • Lexi

What? To use the word “peep?” Are you being ironic? I can’t tell. I thought this was a cute post. And now am off to get some peep sponges!

  • Jules

I absolutely LOATHE peeps. Absolutely disgusting. See also: Cadbury cream eggs. Nasty. So I definitely feel the same level of horror! Luckily, I’m not impressed by the makeup. Nothing worth trying to stifle my revulsion

    • Corgigrrl

I totally agree on the Peeps & Cadbury eggs! Yuck!
I could be wrong but I think there might be a Peep Yankee candle!
      Too funny though!

That had me in stitches when I saw it last night, Muse – I promptly sent it to two former co-workers who would “get it.” One spring when our communications dept. was under a lot of stress, our admin had some Peeps sitting out on the reception desk for anyone who wanted a snack. One of our co-workers was royally POd at the marketing dept. and on a whim, she grabbed a post-it note, labeled one of those Peeps “Marketing,” stabbed it with an Exacto knife, and left it sitting there for all the world to see. (Have I mentioned that we were under a LOT of stress?) After that, taking out our frustration on Peeps became a thing. And when the Washington Post rolled out its Peeps diorama contest (worth Googling, believe me), nobody loved it more than we did.

    • Isabella Muse

I completely remember the diorama contest and to this day it lives on! LOL! love you guys tortured a peep! I’ve stuck them in a microwave, boiled, fried, and done other unusual things to them with my friends! We need to keep them from taking over the planet!

A few years ago there was actually a beer brewed with Peeps. (I’ve never tried it but hopefully it wasn’t sickly sweet like an actual Peep!) And this year there is a brewery doing an “inspired-by” Cadbury egg beer (essentially a chocolatey stout with a bit of milky sweetness to mimic the creme filling; IMO nothing more than a gimmick to boots sales).

    • Isabella Muse

Stop! Beer too!? LOL these weird brews especially the Fall/Halloween stuff is cra!

      • Glenda

Haha I’m that person who sees the weird one-off brew on the menu and I just have to try it. Craft breweries and pubs are like my candy shop and Willy Wonka is the Cicerone.

Also I just looked up Peeps flavors and I see there’s a Hot Tamales flavor which I will be sure to try. Try not to be too grossed out ;>)

        • Kristin

And I’ll be sitting right beside you- I love a good (craft!) beer; just had a wonderful raspberry sour and a cherrywood smoked porter today, in fact!

  • Jen R

LOLLLLLL!!! I adore Peeps, I gorge on them at this time of year, and as soon as I saw those makeup sponges on Ulta this morning, I said GIMME!! They are too cute to resist, even thought I barely ever use makeup sponges.

    • Isabella Muse

      Nooo! they’ll take your soul!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • OliveUnicorn

I welcome our marshmallow overlords! I even have two plush peeps somewhere in my room .

    • Isabella Muse

Nooooo! we must force them out before they take over our planet!

  • CL

I laughed out loud seeing your title of this piece! I’ve never eaten a Peep and don’t think I’d like them. The makeup is cute but suggests the buyer would be between 12 and 14 years old.

  • Cathy

I’ve read your blog for years now and will never again. Your title is not necessary and it is wrong.

  • Lisa Marie

Ha!!!! That’s the funniest thing I’ve seen in some time 😀 love it!

  • CL

There’s a hilarious scene in an episode of “The Good Place,” in which a character makes chili using Peeps.

  • MelodyJ

This post and some of the responses are funny. Thanks for making this post. Yes, there are Peeps Yankee candles. Also Peeps inspired leggings. I read that the UK version Cadbury Cream Eggs is better than the US version.

    • Isabella Muse

they areee all UK cadbury is much better than the US ;-D Peeps are just everywhere!

  • Lexi

Haha! This post cracked me up! Peeps taste gross but are so darned cute! I suppose it was a matter of time before Peep sponges came on to the scene- it’s kind of a natural :p

    • Isabella Muse

They are cute LOL! that’s probably the irony of it as they taste horrible!

  • Mariele Storm

Every time I see this collection I want to walk to the grocery store and buy some Peeps. They’re a real weakness of mine. I’m allergic to chocolate and candy, but that’s not going to stop me. 😛 Sore throats be damned!
