Yay or Nay: NYX Marshmellow Primer

NYX Marshmellow Primer launched a few short months ago and was very quick to become a huge hit with influencers. I was quick to purchase up a bottle before it sold out. Since that time it’s been restocked.

I admit the whole marshmallow scented primer thing drew me in! Who doesn’t want a marshmallow scented facial primer? This sounded brilliant. Not only that but they promised it was going to smooth my skin while evening out the overall tone and blurring all my imperfections for a soft focused finish that kept my makeup wearing long and strong!

Where do I sign up?

Sadly, I really didn’t like it. It felt like it never fully absorbed into my skin and was laying on top of my skin. I have drier skin and this just seemed like it sat on top of my skin and didn’t provide any moisture at all. I didn’t feel like it extended the wear of my foundation either.

NYX Marshmellow Primer was a nay for me.

This one felt way too over hyped!

Did you try it?

Was it a yay or a nay for you?

It was a nay for me too. Didn’t like the way it felt when applied to face and maybe I’m weird but I didn’t smell the marshmellow.

It was very subtle with the scent so, you aren’t alone really. I didn’t like the way it felt either. It just felt like it sat on top of my skin :-/

I liked it . I do have oily skin , but it didn’t break me out and it seemed to make some of my rough patches from acne medicine softer. I only put a light amount though .The wear time is about average, but I like the added softness factor for my skin.

I’m glad it worked for you! I think it might be better suited to oily skin! On my drier skin it just sat there! 🙁
