Is It Time for An Orgasm? Asking for a Friend.

We’re hitting May now! Where did the time go? How did we get here so quickly? Ohhhhh I know! Life can get pretty busy. What was it that Ferris said? Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

That reminds me with Summer looming straight ahead where’s our orgasm at? Our NARS Orgasm that is. I mean, at this point I don’t think there’s anything left that NARS can tint with the pink golden hue of Orgasm but watch them try. What started out as a fantastic blush shade migrated to nail polish, lipgloss, eyeshadow, and more over the last several years. I got up this morning and swept some Orgasm on my cheeks and thought to myself, “Wow! It’s already May and NARS isn’t pimping out some new Orgasm launch!”

Am I disappointed?!

Mmm a little I guess but it could be a good time to lay the shade down for a little rest as NARS has beaten this horse dead. I’m pretty much stocked up on all the things Orgasm at this point. Not sure I need anymore.

Do you?

I wouldn’t be averse to other brands doing some peachy shades for Summer though. I fondly remember the year Bobbi Brown did a beautiful coral collection. It was stunning. I miss color stories so much. Now it’s eyeshadow palettes, eyeshadow palettes, eyeshadow palettes….!

Brands need to bring back color stories!

Do you have hopes for a new NARS Orgasm Collection?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Brands do need to bring back color stories. They were so fun – back when I was working for Estee Lauder at the counter, there was always just a marvelous collection. My first season with them was the season they introduced Honeysuckle Splash in that beautiful curvy retro bottle (which their collection frags should be in, not that soulless clear bottle they went with) and Carolyn Murphy fronted the collection. Everyone used to have them – it was really sad when a great color was limited edition, but they were so fun.

And I’m sorry, as one of the people who has had enough of both warm toned things and NARS’s Orgasm, I am happy there isn’t one!
