Is Sol de Janeiro Rio Deo Aluminum-Free Deodorant scented like Cheirosa 62? Hey, Sol de Janeiro can we get some kind of confirmation on that please because I’ve suffered the fiery pits of Mordor for Secret Vanilla-Scented Deo and I’ll take it to hell if I have to grab some Cheirosa 62 scented deodorant.

It seems like every Summer the aluminum-free and natural deos start popping up. Sol de Janeiro is just one of many that are bracing for new deo launches! Milk Makeup just launched one recently as well!

Natural deodorants have almost always been a no go for me until Kopari. I try to go natural and I’m really a lover of Kopari Natural Aluminum-Free Coconut Deodorant but I’ve slipped back into Secret mode a time or two. I may even be guilty of still buying Teen Spirit but I admit nothing!

Most people wanna go natural because the concern over aluminum in deos is linked to breast cancers. Medical research is a little iffy on it but aluminum from deo can build up in breast tissue. Moving to a more natural deo can be a little difficult. It took me ages to find one I liked.

Since Sol de Janeiro Rio Deo Aluminum-Free Deodorant is in fact a deo and not an antiperspirant I’m making the assumption it’s scented like Cheirosa 62 and if that’s the case sign me up for case! Two! Make it two cases. I want my arm pits to smell like tropical cake melting in my hands. And don’t you dare sit there judging me like you don’t want the same exact thing! Ha!

No seriously, Cheirosa 62 is soooo good. It smells incredible as you all know. Such a beautiful tropical gourmand! Who doesn’t want to apply their deo in the morning smelling like that? Yes, please!

I hope the formula is good.

Sol de Janeiro Rio Deo Aluminum-Free Deodorant will be available May 4th.

Anyone want some?

Yeah, I’m a sucker for that fragrance! I guess I’ll have to try it. I too love the Kopari deo and I also use one of those rock crystal deos as well. I’d be interested in your review.

Likewise. It smells amazing! The rock crystal never really worked for me but love the kopari ;-D I’ll def pick it up and let ya know!

Really happy to see this is deodorant only, no antiperspirant. I can’t stand the way antiperspirants clog everything up under my arms. Hope it doesn’t contain baking soda (aka sodium bicarbonate). I’m allergic and, will then myself be rocking some “fiery pits of Mordor”. Guess I’ll have to see what’s in it before I take the plunge. I do so enjoy that smell though. I’m a fan of Sol’s hand sanitizer spray. I found a trick to the Crystal Mineral Stick (rock) that makes it work on me…if I use the Crystal roll on first and THEN immediately follow up with the rock form of the same brand. Not sure if keeping to the same brand matters but this works so I keep to the brand. You’re supposed to wet the rock one I use before hand so I’m killing two birds with one stone here. I don’t know if you have to wet all rock forms or it’s just the Crystal brand. Using either the rock form OR the roll on formula (any scent, doesn’t matter) by themselves on my pits does nothing. Using them together and it works albeit not all day though. And the Crystal Invisible Solid gel deodorant stick is useless no matter how many ways I tried to make it work. I’ll be stinky within 3 hours. The combo I mentioned above has been my constant fallback post recovery of bad allergic pit reactions. Hope that works for someone else who reads this. They sell a lot of the roll ons at TJMaxx.

Oooooh, yes please! This sounds delicious! (And is that also a dry shampoo?! GIMME!) I am also a big fan of Kopari, but lately I’ve actually been using Dove deodorant from the drugstore, and I think I actually love it even more?! And I stopped using antiperspirants because I was sweating through them all the time anyway, so I figured why not just stop fighting it all together. I definitely need a touch up at least once a day with deodorant, but after several years, I don’t really miss antiperspirant at all.

    • Isabella Muse

YES! Dry shampoo is popping too! Dove does a natural deo? I didn’t even know! I don’t really need an antiperspirant but I do need deo! Can’t go without it! Natural is sort of bad for me as it really doesn’t work well at all with Kopari being the exception. I was so happy when I discovered it.

I can not express how happy I am over a deodorant! Oh goodness I’ve bought nearly everything from Sol De Janeiro just because I’m obsessed with the smell! This is totally going to be added to the collection 😉

    • Isabella Muse

Hey Cin! Long time no speak 🙂 Totally a fan too! Can’t wait to try this!

  • Heidi

Their marketing advertised that this helps even out skin tone. I’d be curious to know if that were true.

    • Isabella Muse

Oh I didn’t even notice that! That would be great!
