Are You Ever Home Alone With No Where To Go and You Just Do Your Makeup?

Me: the Mandalorian is on! Also Me: I have to put makeup on!

Where is my mind? Are you ever just home alone, you have no where to go, no one to see, and you’re like, I’m going put on all my makeup! I swear last year I sat in front of the TV with too much highlighter on to watch the Mandalorian. When I ran into the living room in my t-shirt and underwear and made a leap onto the sofa to snuggle next to my boyfriend to watch the latest episode he proceeded to ask, “You look pretty but where are you going?”

Dude…

I gotta look good for Pedro Pascal.

Pedro likes it when I wear fancy highlighter and my day of the week underwear! He needs to be reminded it’s FriYAY sometimes!

I think I get the most joy out my makeup when I’m not doing it to go out or to work or to a party. It’s more fun when I’m just home with no where to be or no one to see. It’s also when I feel like my best application is done. Like why can’t I ever get that liner flick so perfect in the morning when I’m headed out to work!? It’s because when I’m not not feeling rushed or pressured to put on my best face. I take things a little slower. I’m neater and paying attention to detail a bit more.

Plus, you know, Pedro, shrug…!

Haha…!

Are you ever home alone and just do your makeup?

Just to watch TV or sit around….!

Do you do it better or about the same as you would a daily look?

Do share!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. About the eyeliner, art theory and makeup theory would explain a thin black line alters the visual perception. In my college art class we did an entire lesson on the thin black line.

Grooming is a way to regulate one’s mood. Even Pedro Pascal put himself together to greet the sun.

Reminds me of when Antonio Banderas wore a tuxedo in Spy Kids.

LOL I laughed at “even pedro pascal puts himself together to greet the sun” Are you sure? The man’s a god doesn’t the sun put itself together to greet Pedro? 😀

All the time, well at least 3x/week. Usually half faces. Also try highly colorful shadow that might seem OTT and out of place for a person my age. Although, frankly IDGAS.

I totally do the weird shades I’d never wear out when I’m home. Like primary colors are my specialty when I’m in the house lol!

Definitely, especially during the pandemic. It’s been a good way to play around in my collection and experiment with colors and looks that I might not wear on an ordinary day.

Every 4th of July I do a fun red, white and blue eye look with as much highlight as I can smear on my face and bright red lipstick because I can and I like color and shiny things. Then I stay home because I hate mosquitos and crowds.
Storytime! I live in the lower Hudson Valley and many City people come as a way to get away in nature, which is great. A couple years ago, I was getting some mint from the garden for some icy mint water, and a car comes driving up asking directions to a local tourist attraction. I gave her directions and then she exclaims “Are you picking herbs from your garden?!” So there I was, on my fancy fun makeup, being a part of someone’s ‘country’ experience. So awkward.
