Black Lives Matter Donations
I just wanted to update anyone interested about my status on donations to Black Lives Matters. I normally don’t speak about charities, donations, and organization that I support because it’s not something that needs to be flaunted on a blog post or across social media. Donation comes from good place inside your heart and isn’t something that should be posted about across a bunch of online mediums.
But I did want share what was going on with my donations to the Black Lives Matter movement since I made a pledge about it on one of my posts last year.
When the Black Lives Matter Movement raged on full force last year I took part in a march and made some personal donations to charities I felt were good fits for my beliefs. Marching was one of the hardest things I did last year because COVID really had me in a state of anxiety. It turned out better than I expected and was truly a stress and anxiety-free experience. I pledged on a prior post that I wanted to donate the ad revenue and affiliate commissions from any black owned business posts I did to charity.
As I said in my prior post donations are not something that will change the way people think, see, or understand this movement but I have hopes it will help in some very small way.
To date, the posts I’ve done for black owned businesses and brands have generated a revenue of $1473.55. I’ll be rounding the amount off to $2000 and selected two different charities to donate to.
This is just an update of where I am with this.
The comments are turned off on this post just because I know how incredibly sweet and supportive you all are and I know you’re going to want to say great job, etc…but I’m not doing this to get nice compliments and comments (I APPRECIATE every single one). I just feel a bit uncomfortable having people leave them on this post. I hope you’ll understand where I coming from. I have NEVER muted anyone in the past no matter what you say here (so long as you aren’t bullying anyone) but I just feel a little weird getting comments or compliments on this particular post. Please understand and forgive me for taking your voice away for a moment.
Be well friends.
Be good humans.
Keep fighting the good fight every single day of your life.
Remember small change bring about big impacts.
