OnlyFans Tries to Break Into the Beauty World Will They Succeed?

Do you think Only Fans can break into the beauty world? They are currently trying to break out of their “sexy” role in the social media world and take on more fashion and beauty content creators.

Ok, so, Only Fans isn’t all about sex. Although, I can’t deny that all those juicy Tyler Posey tidbits that were revealed on Only Fans are pretty darn awesome. You just never know what you’re going to get when he starts going off. And hey, since Only Fans is a very liberal content creation site making it anyone’s game to post anything they want. From Trisha Paytas showering naked to 90’s bands seeking a comeback there’s a little something for just about anyone. But if we’re honest, even though Only Fans has never really disclosed their exact adult content percentage, the number of content creators across the platform are in fact adult in nature. That is in fact part of the fun of Only Fans. If you want G rated you create a Patreon if you want sexy you get yourself an Only Fans account. And if you’re a fan girl or guy and want “more” from your favorite gamer, influencer, or celebrity it’s more you’ll get if they have an Only Fans account.

Only Fans is a mere five years only, very much in their infancy, but with the pandemic its really become a popular source of income for many digital creators and even A or B list celebrities looking to make a quick buck. Stay at home orders have created a new and interesting round of creators looking for ways to make money on the Internet or just because, like many of us, they are bored in the house. Platforms like Only Fans are looking to capture those creators and their followers. And beauty, as we all know, is a pretty big industry.

Sure, you may think Only Fans and instantly think porn but they are working pretty hard behind the scenes to change their image. Apparently beauty is slowly starting to take off across Only Fans. But are you willing to pay for your beauty content?

The highest Only Fans account will set you back around $50 for a follow of your favorite creator. Creators can charge people for private messaging features or access to certain posts and photos. Granted some creators charge less. For example, you can totally watch Tyler Posey do really “interesting things” for a mere $5 a month (or you can head over to Porn Hub or Reddit and watch people re-post it gleefully but come on, it’s only five bucks! Support the guy a little! Teen Wolf was ages ago after all!). Likewise, for celebs like CardiB who charge a mere five bucks to so you can watch her babble on about daily life. The sheer entertainment of CardiB going off on her Only Fans is worth WAY more than five dollars! Just sayin’!

Right now beauty creators are sparse across the platform but that’s about to change given the fact the Only Fans is about to turn its reputation around! Only Fans is seeking outside capital of 1 billion dollars for it’s more “mainstream media” marketing promotion. Certain beauty creators are waiting for Only Fans reputation to improve before they’ll willing admit to using the site. But how quickly can Only Fans actually turn it’s sexy reputation behind?

That’s a question I’d love to see answered.

If you really love a beauty influencer, blogger, or Instagrammer are you willing to pay for their content on a platform like Only Fans?

I’m leaning towards yes on this. For example, I’d pay to read Temptalia’s content, I’d pay to watch Emily Noel, I’d pay to listen to my favorite ASMRers (I already do in fact) there are a lot of excellent people in the industry I would happily pay a subscription fee to watch or read.

How about you?

Do you think OnlyFans can actually attract the beauty community or even influencers and bloggers to start creating more content on their site? With the birth of Tiktok Beauty Content Creators it may just be a hard sell…!

We’ll have to see how it pans out.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. This only occurred to me because of the Catholic school girls related posts, but get yo self a uniform and start monetizing, girl! You could produce content at 3A, after you decompress from your business and create/reply to a few blogs, and before you start all over again at stupid oclock. Just kidding. If I dont follow IGs on m/u, Only Fans would be the last place Id look for content. It seems so voyeuristic. And AMSRs totally freak me out. I tried, just couldnt. I would and do support some podcast Patreons, esp for the lone creators without networks or backing behind them. Esp women..its pretty ballsy, when the space is loaded with people with BIG connections. I mean, who needs support. Canadian True Crime or NBC Mommie Doomsday?

    • Isabella Muse

LOL you did not just tell me to put on a school uniform and get on Only Fans and montenize. Oh. my. god. LOL! It’s ASMR lol! Depends on the kind you’re listening to ;-D Only Fans can be interesting depending who and what you are following on the platform. Some content is questionable. Just like with any platforms there’s good and bad!

Now for something REALLY STUPID. If I check out 0nly Fans, Id do it on the incognito mode, despite being the only one who uses my devices. Bwah ha ha. Am I trying to hide it from myself?

        • Isabella Muse

LOL why…!? Don’t hide! LOL be proud you can go on only fans and watch adult content! No one is judging 😀

          • kjh

Oh, hell, no. I incognitod Is Victor Garber dead? And Is the NSA real? Just today. It has zero to do with adult content, just my own perception of what I feel stupid not knowing. The most adult content Ive consumed is Lolita and Death in Venice. And yes, the books are better than the films.

          • Isabella Muse

um maybe we shouldn’t discuss how much adult content I’ve been exposed to LOL!

  • dia

Yuck. There was an article about how many of their members are underage girls, child sex trafficking victims. Why would I want to buy that company’s lipstick?

    • Isabella Muse

They aren’t selling a lipstick. They are courting content creators in the beauty world to create tutorials, videos, content on the website. Hope this clarifies a bit.

      • Donna Jensen

I am not Dia but agree. even though it was just today I learned, in this post, that Only Fans is not just porn, I would still be uncomfortable on a platform known for porn and its’ associated issues of abuse and sexism and trafficking. I also can’t imagine paying money to hear anyone talk about beauty (or anything, really) unless they were an real and actual expert, e.g. Pat McGrath or Lisa Eldridge level people.

        • Isabella Muse

It’s a little hard to avoid such things on the Internet. It’s spread far and wide across a variety of different platforms we used daily like Reddit, community forums, twitter, facebook, tiktok….It’s truly a sad reality of the Internet. I can def see myself paying for quality creative content whether it is from a celeb artist like Pat Mcgrath or even an influencer that I trust. I don’t mind paying if I knew the content is good. It’s like anything else in life really…a good book, a visit to your favorite place to eat, nothing is free ya know? Some content creators put a lot of effort, time, blood, sweat and tears into what they do. I don’t mind paying a few dollars to support them if that makes sense.

          • Donna Jensen

I totally agree that people should get paid, on all platforms and all types of content, and I feel like a jerk for not making that clear. I struggle with so much content, so fast, so much, so overwhelming that I just go all deer in headlights and stick with tried and true platforms. The new spaces (Tiktok, Only Fans, things like “discord”,the concept of people famous for being “influencers”) are puzzling to me, like I feel like we keep reinventing the wheel and there is no compelling reason for me to even look at Tiktok when Youtube exists and suits my needs just fine. But I am a stick in the mud so these things aren’t aimed at me anyway. : )

          • Isabella Muse

Oh my god you aren’t a jerk! stop! It is a lot to digest. There’s so much happening and it is indeed very fast and it does overwhelm the senses. I think influencers being famous is still a weird thing as well 😀 It could be our age maybe that’s why we don’t get it. I don’t think I’m Tiktok’s age demographic at all but it’s still pretty fun but best for a younger crowd who has a shorter attention span!

Never heard of OnlyFans. I obviously am not on social media too often other than Instagram and YouTube. But, honestly, no, I would not pay to follow someone. There’s a lot of information out there for free, so I don’t see why I would pay someone for the same information I can easily get somewhere else. Plus, the other traditional methods still support the person I like to watch/read. 🙂

    • Isabella Muse

This is true there is plenty free stuff out there but a lot of creative people spend hours and hours working on content and also, just pouring emotion into things they do. It wouldn’t bother me to pay to see what they create. For example, Christine McConnell’s netflix show got canceled which was so tragic imho and she moved to patreon and I totally signed up for her premium content immediately. I think she’s incredibly creative, I love what she does, and I don’t mind paying to watch her do her thing. She does movie nights, creates crafts, etc and I think it’s totally worth my $ to enjoy it. I just think of it as any other content I pay for like Netflix, a book I download on my kindle, any form of entertainment really comes with some cost. Dunno if that makes sense but that’s how I see it 😀

      • Donna Jensen

Well I just looked her up on Instagram (this Christine McConnell) and loved her so I am following her there, maybe I will take the leap and try Patreon.

And thank you for understanding my comment and reassuring me that I didn’t sound horrible.

        • Isabella Muse

My love, you do not sound horrible for expressing how you feel or your opinion on something. Never apologize for how you feel or wish to express yourself! 😉 This is a safe place! She’s fabulous! I wish netflix didn’t axe her! She recently purchased a gorgeous Victorian home in New York (upstate) and she’s been renovating it. If her IG doesn’t get what you want from her def try her Patreon 😀

      • Christina

Oh absolutely. People definitely should be compensated for their hard work, and I understand it’s a serious job for many people. I guess it all depends who is putting out the content and what their quality is.

For me, it’s probably because I don’t really follow a lot of people or watch their content too in depth. These days, the most I do is just a quick search to see what’s launching. I’ll read a handful of people’s posts–like yours, Christine’s, Karen’s, and Sabrina’s–because I’ve been following these people forever and want to continue supporting them, but I don’t do much more than a quick glance for most other people. If I pay for content, it has to be for something very interesting to me. I also don’t love the oversaturated industry like I used to, so that plays a part in my feelings.

        • Isabella Muse

Agreed 100%. It depends on the content, depends on if I trust the person enough to subscribe (we all know there are a lot of people that aren’t 100% honest), and it depends on what the content is. I don’t follow many people either inside the beauty community, it’s really a select few, but I do fan girl over other different topics and people in different genres like gamers for example (I adore Joseph Birdsong and would happily pay for anything he does). I really appreciate you reading me! It means the world to me! I can’t express how much!

          • Christina

No, THANK YOU for actually responding and remembering who I am. 😀 I know you get a ton of comments and emails and you have a big following, so it’s nice to be recognized and remembered. I’m like, AHH! Isabella remembers who I am!!! And then it morphed into a sweet friendship! 🙂

          • Isabella Muse

girllllllllllllllll! How could I ever forget you? I know I get busy sometimes and I don’t always get to comments in a timely manner (Some of yours are probably still in my “pending” folder to be answered) but I do try my very best 😀 I adore you! And I love our friendship! I truly appreciate you! <3! The best part of the blog is I get to become friends with awesome humans like you!
