Patrick Ta Major Dimension Eyeshadow Palette Sadly Brings Nothing New

Oh Patrick I adore you but not another nude eyeshadow palette! Patrick Ta Major Dimension Eyeshadow Palette arrives June 3rd at sephora.com and it’s a stunning palette nude eyeshadow palette featuring 12 warm and “cool” shades in two formulations of cream and powder. The luminous cream bases (two appear in this palette) act as primers for the matte and metallic shades to intensify the shades.

A few people have pointed out the palette looks a lot like the recent Too Faced Teddy Bare It All Eyeshadow Palette but I think this runs a lot warmer.

I think the palette is gorgeous but I feel rather badly I can probably dupe every single shade here because I own all the damn brown eyeshadows on the planet. I don’t see a single shade here that I can’t dupe. I just have that many nude eyeshadows in my stash. It makes me question whether I need to dish out $68 on this.

I did find the brown-based cream eyeshadows interesting. That might be what makes the palette unique but also, a pain for some people who dislike having creams and powders making an appearance in the same palette.

Patrick is a god and such a humble artist and I feel bad I’m not throwing my money at the Major Dimension Eyeshadow Palette but it’s been done and done again….!

I think I have to see this in person before making a decision but right now I’m leaning towards a solid no on this one.

How about you?

Leaving it. I’m so indescribably sick of warm shadows. There have been functionally no cool or true neutral eyeshadows for about four years. It’s truly a point of astonishment for me as a cool toned consumer. Sunnies Face came out with eyeshadow sticks, but they’re exactly like everything else right now. Orange brown.

🙁 some good news, Etude House has a new cool toned palette!

That’s great!! May cool toned eyeshadows once again stomp about the aisles of beauty!

aw thanks Dania 🙂 Me too! I just feel like I have a lot of these shades already!

Jane is spot on. PT’s blush duos did well, so let’s extend the concept to a midsize warm neutral eye palette. Bore me harder! The mess w/cream and powder is such a positive, too.

Patrick’s blushes are amazing period. I didn’t expect him to drop a nude palette though 🙁

I also adore Patrick’s stuff…and this is very pretty, but very unwearable for me. I’m also tired of the neutral brown palettes 🙁 So bummed! (also that price point, ouch)
