Tarte Tartelette Juicy Amazonian Clay Palette New Summer 2021 Relaunch with Less Shades

There’s a new Tarte Tartelette Juicy Amazonian Clay Palette ($39) available today and appears to be a downsized version of the Juicy Eyeshadow Palette that launched back in January. I’m a little confused.

This new version is a slimmed down version that contains 12 shades and is priced at $39 compared to the larger one that’s $45 with 20 shades.

At a glance it looks like darker shades of color are included here. They look richer but in reality, it’s actually shades already in the original Juicy Palette!

Shades:

  • Paradise (peach champagne shimmer)
  • Rose (matte rosy pink)
  • Orchid (pink shimmer)
  • Dream Chaser (pink plum shimmer)
  • Blossom (matte peachy pink)
  • Shine (deep copper shimmer)
  • Petal (matte soft rose)
  • Luscious (matte cinnamon)
  • Reflect (golden champagne shimmer)
  • Happiness (matte rosy tan)
  • Dusk (rosy brown shimmer)
  • Euphoric (matte cool deep brown)

I thought maybe the original Juicy Eyeshadow Palette sold out or something but it’s still very much available and in stock. I wonder if they have plans to discontinue it and just stick with this uniformed version that all the Tartelette palettes are sized in.

Hmmmm….

It’s a total mystery that has me scratching my head.

What do you think is going on!??!

I saw that! Then I was like wait, didn’t they release this one earlier? I love the colors in it and prefer this version over the bigger one. I’m not gonna buy it though, I got the 3 pack that was on sale during the holidays.

I was confused when they released the larger one. They must’ve realized people wanted smaller palettes these days after the fact.

I didn’t realized a missed a Tartlette palette launch. Kinda glad I did. I like the smaller one better. Mostly cuz it will match the size and such of the others. Also cheaper is is nice.

Although I have no proof, I think they’re doing it to make the palette the size of their others and will phase out the bigger one. Some of the negative feedback I heard about the $45 one was that it was too big and bulky. That said, I bought it (the first, bigger one) and absolutely love it — all my favorite brown-eyed girl shades in one palette, and nice big pans too!

I must be nuts as I didn’t mind the size and I thought it was a solid palette! I think your theory is right!

I have the big juicy but had I known we’d get one to match my other tartlette palettes I would have waited as I prefer that size and the shades I use from the big palette are in the small one. Tarte always seem to ruin a good thing for themselves. They release duplicate palettes, complexion products that dont cover a full range of shades and are skewed light, can’t seem to fix in what demos they are trying to appeal to and bring out awful quality holiday collections. I wish they would find their niche and get to a capsule collection of great products with cohesive branding.

I think if they did it would really up the brands image TC!
