Bath and Body Works Coconut Candy Apple Fragrance Mist Review

4 stars out of 5

Bath and Body Works Coconut Candy Apple is a new, limited edition Fall 2021 scent that launched in a Fine Fragrance Mist, Shower Gel, and Body Lotion in stores and online. From the Bath and Body Works Fall 2021 Collection I picked up Coconut Candy Apple Fine Fragrance Mist and Lotion as well as Pumpkin Pecan Waffles Fine Fragrance Mist and Body Lotion. Nothing else really grabbed me from some of the new floral scents they launched and I’m fully stocked up on Strawberry Pound Cake and Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte.

Off topic but I love Strawberry Pound Cake! It’s such a wonderful scent. But I’m getting really tired of the constant repromote. Just make it permanent! I don’t want to see it in every single seasonal launch. Ok, rant over.

Let’s discuss Bath and Body Works Coconut Candy Apple Fragrance Mist!

Bath and Body Works Coconut Candy Apple Fragrance Mist instantly caught my eye as it brought back childhood memories of going to the grocery store with my mom and just knowing that Fall was finally here when they’d have those delicious Kraft Caramel and Jelly Apples available. Who remembers those? I mean, they still have them technically and I still buy them every single year. I love the caramel ones rolled in peanuts! Ugh so good! Sadly, I was never a fan of the Jelly Apple or Candy Apple ones which were rolled in coconut flakes but I loved the idea of a fragrance like that! Candle apple, coconut flakes, yes, that sounded amazing!

Bath and Body Works Coconut Candy Apple is apparently a blend of candied red apple, shredded coconut and vanilla spice. I don’t get the vanilla here but I do get the yummy red apple note which immediately hits you in the face as you mist it on. As it settles onto your skin you’ll get that yummy milky coconut note. It isn’t quite what you’d think of a candy apple rolled in coconut would smell like but it’s still very nice. Bath and Body Works throws “tropical candied apple” into their description and oddly, I get it. It sort of has a tropical apple drink vibe! It’s really quite pretty and not super sweet. If you dislike how sweet Winter Candy Apple is you might just enjoy this as the coconut really mellows it down. Mind you, it’s still sweet but not as sweet as Winter Candy Apple.

Sadly, it isn’t quite as long wearing as Pumpkin Pecan Waffles and does fade within a two to three hour wear on my skin but it does leave a little sweet linger behind!

I enjoyed this one and I’m happy to see Bath and Body Works is listening to us and doing a lot more gourmands lately.

Bath and Body Works Coconut Candy Apple is around for Fall 2021 in stores and online.

I purchased this item.

While its nice to see some new scents for fall, I think its too early. I mean come on, were not even out of July yet! They did the same thing for the past 2 years ( although I swear its even earlier this year) and I missed out on my beloved Marshmallow Fireside 3 wicks and room spray. Just like when the stores start to play Christmas music and the Halloween decorations are still up. It used to be they started before the Thanksgiving turkey was on the table, and that was bad enough. Lol, whats the hurry? I dont get it. B&BW already has me annoyed at their lousy semi annual sales and now this. If you start this early, keep in mind to have enough stock of things so that theyre available when were actually in the fall season. Just saying. And now I have Pumpkin Pecan Waffles on the brain! Coconut Candy Apple is an easy pass for me as my skin chemistry and coconut dont get along. Coconut notes turn to plastic (makes me think of doll heads) on me as soon as they hit my skin. Think of a coconut plastic Barbie doll smell…in the worst possible way. yuck!
