My Online Crush Wears Armani Emporio But Remember Marc Jacobs Biscotti Splash And By the Way Does Adam Driver Smell Like Hero
Why is it we’re so curious about what other people smell like? Or is that only me?
Jesus.
I hope I’m not the only one….
I’m not right?
You walk around wondering what other people smell like too don’t you?
Oh god I’m weird! I am, aren’t I? Oh wait, it’s ok, we already knew I was weird. Phew.
No but seriously, I think it’s sort of some freaky thing to wonder what people smell like but it’s also sort of human nature too…..
I am a great lover of fragrance. People are very quick to assume that my passion lies in makeup or even skincare but in reality the key to my heart is unlocked by perfume. I have a massive stash of fragrances (I won’t tell you how many bottles as that would be embarrass me terribly) but trust me it’s a lot (like a room full). So many of my fragrance have stories and I cherish them like sweet little memories that I can take out and mist all over myself. Fragrances gifted to me by dearly loved ones, fragrances that I’ve purchased from a country or state I traveled to, fragrances I’ve purchased for myself, ones I buy because they remind me of a certain time in my life….they all mean something special to me. It’s easy enough to just take one down, mist it on, close my eyes, and remember where it came from, the day I purchased it, who I was with, where I was…..Today I misted on Like This from Etat Libre D’Orange and I instantly panicked because I forgot how it came to me! Was it a gift? Did I buy it for myself? Where was I when I got it? But I closed my eyes, found my calm, and a small smile came to my face as I remembered the conversation with a friend who recommended it to me. I dunno if he remembers that day but I do (I love you Justin and I miss you!). And that my friends, is how powerful fragrance is.
Over the course of past few days I got about ten different messages across different apps and social platforms I’m on to see online friends telling me, “BELLA! DID YOU HEAR WHAT HE SMELLS LIKE!?” Who smells like what?! I realized quickly enough that the HE they spoke of was our online crush who apparently disclosed his fragrance of choice. I forget again, remind me, when did we all turn into 14 year old girls again that send messages back and fourth about our crushes? Why are we this excited about how a stranger on the Internet smells? But it made me smile so much and laugh because so many of these women I’ve become close to text, direct message me, whatsapp, and telegram me the weirdest things that make my day oh so much nicer.
So what does this fine gentlemen smell like? Apparently Armani Emporio…..”Hello? This is 1998 calling we’d like our cologne back please!” Emporio…I had to rake my little brain for memories of Emporio…I also drove myself partially crazy looking for a bottle as I’m positive I have both Lui and Lei but today as this post came to me a light bulb went off in my head, they re-released Emporio. But did he smell like 1998 or 2020 because I recall the 2020 juice has a richer woodsy base….But I guess we’ll never know……!
And hey, if we’re going to choose an Armani fragrance for this man I think he should smell like Profumo Special Blend. Aggressive AF, harsh, dominate, and apparently floating around town with lots of herbs in his pocket as Profumo Special Blend goes hard and takes no prisoners with those Rosemary, Sage and Patchouli notes.
By the way, you know what we also need to know? We need to know if Adam Driver really smells like Burberry Hero (I’m convinced he smells like Bvlgari Black Orient or By Kilian Memento Mori). That Burberry ad near had me falling into a comatose. Anyone remember last year when we were all bored in the house and people were making Adam Driver videos and Tiktoks to Bonnie Tyler’s Holding Out for a Hero? I’d make my boyfriend sit watching them with me. As Star Wars nerds I think I really enjoyed those bonding moment together. However, I’m pretty sure he mentally rolled his eyes when I walked into his home office in the middle of the morning when he was in some headspace programming, sat in his lap, and showed him some new thirst trap video featuring Adam Driver (I usually got the pat on the head and the mmmhmmm when I showed him but I’m almost 99.9% sure he was as into them as I was!). Hero launches late August and it’s already available for pre-order and as far as I’m concerned Burberry’s marketing team totally stole that Holding Out for a Hero moment to create this scent! Fight me on this. You’ll lose.
The scent is a blend of bergamot, juniper, cedarwood, and black pepper. It’s sounds really unintrusive with notes like those but I’d like to imagine that black pepper really gives it a kick and makes us think of Kylo Ren in all his glory.
You know what would be good for Adam? Biscotti! Warm, comforting, Marc Jacobs Biscotti. Marc, let’s sit, let’s talk, let’s discuss bringing back the Splashes. We love the Splashes, we want the Splashes, we need the Splashes. Come on won’t you bring them back for little old me? Biscotti was so warm, so delightful, it smelled like a big, hard hug from the man you love! You’ve been so busy reinventing yourself lately but how about we just do it for a feel good memory! Are you with me here?
I do so miss the Splashes.
I really don’t want another Daisy release. Let’s go wild and re-release some of the old Marc Jacob Splashes.
What do you think?
Who remembers how delicious Marc Jacobs Biscotti was? Yeah, that’s Adam Driver’s scent for sure.
And this my friends is an ode to men who smells delicious.
What’s your favorite men’s fragrance?
