Mondays Are Always Hard and Even Harder When Bad News Hits
Good Morning!
I hope you’re well. I hope you’re safe. I hope you’re healthy. I hope you’re doing your very best today. I had my phone notifications shut off this weekend because I just couldn’t take anymore COVID updates. In doing this I created a bubble around myself to just enjoy my weekend without the stress of the news blasting in my ear. I sadly missed the fact that Haiti suffered yet another great devastation. Over 1,200 people have lost their lives and the death toll is climbing with many others that have lost their homes. This is devastating news for an already impoverished country. Haiti suffered substantial lost during the 2010 earthquake and apparently this quake hit on the same fault line as the original. Even worst there’s a tropical storm brewing that’s expected to bring heavy rains and high winds and potential flooding to the area this week.
Hope for Haiti is actively offering aid that includes medical, emergency kits, and more.
If you want to help in some small way hopeforhaiti.com is accepting donations for their mission to offer aid to Haiti at this time. If you can’t donate I hope you’ll take time out to send positive vibes and energy out to Haitians who may be here in the US awaiting news from their families and of course, most importantly, for those on the island that are suffering after this devastation.
My heart is with Hattians everywhere today!
