My Kinky Target Bullseyes Playground Item Addiction And How I Can’t Find Any Of It or An Ulta at My Target

Let’s get weird and freaky for a little bit here!

I have a home decor kink! It turns me on like you would not believe! Home Goods, Home Sense, Target, yassss, please! So hot! Mmmm….! Those long strolls down the aisle of Target to pick up toilet paper just makes me so…..wink wink nudge nudge!

I know all of you have a Target kink and a Home Goods one and a Home Sense one…! I see you, I know. Yup! Don’t sit there acting like you don’t know exactly what I mean when I say I have a Target fetish!

In all seriousness, gather around my friends! Let’s sit in a circle and discuss the culture of the Target Bullseyes Playground and Dollar Spot items and the lack of Ulta over here!

I’d like to say I don’t know how I became addicted to those damn Target Bullseyes Playground but let’s just blame someone. She knows exactly who she is! My best friend. Damn her. A few years ago we went hard on Rae Dunn and in doing so suddenly Modern Farmhouse everything became part of my decor. Cutesy tier trays, signs, and the endless mommy trends on Instagram. Now I’m not a mommy but somehow, someway I started decorating my house to the beat of the trends I found across Mommy Instagram accounts.

These trends are probably weird and freaky to some folks but I really embrace cutesy things and they made my soul sing. Suddenly Summer decor became all lemons, Spring was all about cute tulips and carrots, and the list goes on and on and on.

That’s where the culture of the Target Bullseyes Playground comes into play. Target obviously has some mastermind marketing team because every single season they’ll come out with really cute themed items that are right on trend with what you’ll see splashed across many home decor accounts on Instagram.

But sadly, I personally can’t find any of these items! People scoop all of them up and proceed to sell them on places like Mercari at crazy marked-up prices. For example, Target has a Halloween release of cute potion bottles that are $1 each and you’ll catch people selling them for $5-$10 each. Sigh, when did the world get so greedy?

That being said the real meat and bones of this article is about Ulta at Target. I live in New York so as a New Yorker I expect certain things to happen fast and having Ulta in my Target is one of those things. Hey Target, where the hell is my Ulta?

My store is supposed to be getting an Ulta but nothing yet and when I ask they all shrug and look at me like I lost my mind. It’s not a huge deal as I have easy access to Ulta stores but I’d really like to see how Ulta will look at Target. Hopefully, it won’t be as bad as those Sephora stores inside Kohls! Cringe!

I have yet to come across any Target here with an Ulta and I’m patiently waiting for it to happen!

Don’t let me down Target!

Has Ulta popped up at your Target?

Is it everything you hoped it would be?

Do share!

It’s at my Target. It looks like an Ulta condensed to some of the most popular brands and items, same type of shelving and lighting. No testers. Some brands are on “open” display but they’re covered in plastic like square-ish domes. I can take pictures and email them to you if you want. You can link your Ultamate rewards(through the Target app) to earn points. You just can’t redeem them there and the Ulta coups don’t apply.

yes please do! I went to a few targets already that promised an Ulta and nada yet! I’m in CA at the moment and haven’t made any trips to Target here but maybe I will get lucky!

We don’t have any Targets with Ulta yet. I was hoping someone who got one in the first wave would report back. Thanks for this information.

I wondered about getting rewards for Ulta at Target so thanks for this. I’ve already purchased twice at Target and wondered if there was way to get rewards.

Our Ulta at Target is the same as you describe with the open display covered in plastic but at Ulta it’s been that way since they reopened. Everything is covered in plastic due to covid.

Youre so right. Ive come to appreciate the two lately shopping for the new house. Target for practical items that I need multiples of (for example, plastic baskets for under all the sinks) but Home Goods for unique quality decor (a picture frame, a wicker chest). I tried a few other places in town but I hated feeling like I was shopping someones yard sale for junk quality (At Home, Tuesday Morning) or didnt easily find what I needed (Kirklands) so Ive definitely really come to appreciate the two.

Ah, Target! My dorm mate in college turned me on to it. Miami hadn’t gotten a Target yet and I thought it was like K-Mart. DormMate pronounced it Tar-Ghey and regaled me with tales of the store she shopped at back in Tennessee. When one in Miami opened, I was in love. This was the first store I had ever seen with a Starbucks inside! My funniest Target story was a few years ago. I had bought a small bottle of hand soap (Up & Up Milk & Honey, my fave scent) and the pump didn’t work properly. I was bitching about it to a friend of mine about how I had to pour the soap into the old bottle to get it to dispense properly. She said why don’t you just take it back? I’m sure Target would exchange the defective bottle. Yes, of course they would exchange it. But while I am there I would spend at least $30 on other stuff and that is just not worth it for a 79 cent bottle of hand soap!

We have Ulta in a few Target stores here and honestly, I’m underwhelmed. Not sure what I was expecting but I am glad I can rack up Ulta rewards point at Target but that’s so minor.

The Ulta is a separate space which makes some sense but then I’m roaming through another area with a sampling of what is in a full Ulta store. Plus, we have many Ultas here so idk that having them in the Targets inside the city (Chicago) makes sense.
