Why Is Paco Rabanne Phantom Eau de Toilette The Bestest Thing Ever Since Dennis DeYoung Sang Domo Arigato Misuta Robotto?

Someone literally woke up at Paco Rabanne headquarters one day and said get the marketing team we’re going to make a new men’s fragrance and pour it into a robot shaped bottle! And that my friends, is how Phantom Eau de Toilette came about. I mean, the meek aren’t technically going to inherit the Earth! It’s the damn robots that get first dibs! I know these things! I watched Terminator!

As a life long Styx fan and a complete nerd for robots I’m being honest when I say that Paco Rabanne Phantom Eau de Toilette speaks to my soul and reminds me of a Transformer. Hell, I might break out and start singing You Got the Touch now! It may or may not sound like the Dirk Diggler rendition!

Some small, tiny part of me wishes there was also a women’s version available that comes in a pink robot bottle. I’m so sorry but I’m a princess and a pretty little pony that likes all the pink things!

But sadly, we only have a men’s version for now. Not that I’m averse to wearing a men’s cologne especially one with these notes.

Paco Rabanne Phantom Eau de Toilette is a warm, spicy blend of energizing lemon and vetiver, with creamy lavender and woodsy vanilla. I feel like I need this. I do right? I need a robot perfume in my life. Eh but hey, if the robot isn’t doing it for you I would recommend that big old stuffie bear that Jeremy Scott is shilling to us!

Paco Rabanne Phantom Eau de Toilette is available now.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. OMG, it’s the cutest robot since the one on Lost in Space!!! I wonder if I could wear that fragrance… I may have to check this out! DAY-UM – that is a well executed lil robot!! 😀

I really want to smell it. People are saying it’s a gorgeous tropical citrus! We may be able to get away with it!

  • Natalie

Well how now, brown cow! I was just talking about Paco Rabanne when my husband and I were discussing my brother. He wore that fragrance in the 80’s. I thought it smelled so sexy! Nice to know it’s being brought back!

    • Isabella Muse

Wait, phantom was available in 1980? Tell me more. I’m being educated now! I had no idea it was available back then! I thought this was new!

      • Natalie

I’m sorry. I didn’t mean the robot. I meant the Paco Rabanne fragrance.

        • Isabella Muse

OOOO! I was like wow this was available back in the day 😀

Natalie, I too, remember something incredibly close to this fragrance called Phantom. It’s incredible. I think the year was around 1982-1983. It didn’t even last one year. It was thought of as a joke back then and nobody dared wear it but one guy in the neighborhood and he was harassed for it as being gay. Anyway, it was not called Phantom, but I remember that sweet effervescent scent. If you can find out more, please let me know. What a trip down memory lane! I remember the radio station Q102 FM making fun of that scent back in the 1980’s. I specifically remember this.
