NARS Afterglow Blush Palette and Afterglow Lip Shine Gloss for Spring 2022
NARS Afterglow Blush Palette and the new Afterglow Lip Shine Gloss are early Spring 2022 releases that the brand launched at Sephora over the weekend. Afterglow Lip Shine Gloss appears to be replacing the current selection of NARS Lipglosses which were on sale at Ulta this Holiday season and also, only have one shade available at Sephora. I thought this sucked because I like the old gloss formula plus some of the old shades like Dolce Vita aren’t available in the new Afterglow Lip Shine Gloss. That being said there are some very nice nudes that could be Dolce Vita-like shades such as Chelsea Girls which is a warm beige-pink and Aragon which is a warm chestnut-like shade.
On the upside, the new Afterglow Lip Shine Gloss is embracing the newer NARS packaging with gorgeous rose-gold caps. I wonder if NARS has plans to start revamping some of their older black rubber compacts too since I have noticed they keep putting blushes on sale a lot lately. I know I wouldn’t mind since the rubber packaging was always a magnet for grime!
NARS Afterglow Lip Shine Gloss ($26) is a new, comfortable gloss formula that hydrates lips while providing mirror-like shine and color. The formula contains a jojoba oil complex to hydrate lips as well as raspberry seed oil. Sadly, it’s only available in ten shades!
Joining the Afterglow Lip Shine Collection is a new, limited edition NARS Afterglow Blush Palette ($59) with six blush shades.
Shades in this palette include:
- Breathless (shimmering peach)
- Savage (shimmering red brown)
- Flirt (shimmering raspberry gold)
- Devotion (matte warm pink)
- Exhibit A (matte red)
- Liberte (apricot burnished blush)
The AfterGlow Blush Palette is tempting but I think I’ll wait a bit before I indulge. I do know some of the gloss shades are tempting.
