Sorry but I’m Buying the NARS Summer Unrated Eyeshadow Palette

Sorry, guys I know I’m going to regret this but I’m buying the NARS Summer Unrated Eyeshadow Palette. Hear me out. In my defense, I’m still Sephora Rouge and I will get 20% off on Friday. I’m using the fact there’s a coupon around to justify this dumb-ass purchase. If we’re all honest we can sit in a circle together and admit our grievances about NARS lately. NARS used to have incredible formulas. Super silky blushes, pigmented, velvety shadows…several years ago NARS was a mid-luxury brand for me. It really wasn’t mid-range but it was just tiptoeing that line between mid and luxury wasn’t it?

Oddly, we can’t blame Estee Lauder or L’Oreal for this because NARS is still very much chilling out in the Shiseido Americas portfolio. I’m not really sure what happened with NARS but I think we can safely all agree the formulas have changed.

If you wanna spin it in a positive light you can be like me and just take a chance with NARS because the experience is always very hit or miss. Sometimes they create some amazing palette, other times not so much. That’s why I’m going to just dive in and grab the Summer Unrated Eyeshadow Palette and see where it takes me. I’m very much an Orgasm lover and this palette has the shade at heart with lots of pretty peach shades mixed in with some nudes. I don’t anyone can deny the shades are very pretty.

There’s 16 total shades in matte, shimmer, and glitter finishes for $59 or with 20% off you can snag it at $47.

Shades:

  • Isla (matte light tan)
  • Crete (soft pink gold)
  • Spiagga Rosa (matte dirty peach)
  • Orgasm (peachy pink with golden shimmer)
  • Laguna (satin warm brown)
  • Satisfy (champagne shimmer)
  • Palmetto (sparkling metallic gold)
  • Komodo Island (chocolate with gold glitter)
  • Palmas (matte red brown)
  • Bird of Paradise (sparkling rose gold)
  • Taj Mahal (burnt tangerine with gold shimmer)
  • Love on Fire (copper glitter)
  • Tikehau (matte mocha brown)
  • Summer Moon (cool pink shimmer)
  • Bad Intentions (raspberry shimmer)
  • Fetish (shimmering espresso)

Will I regret this purchase?

I hope not.

NARS Summer Unrated Eyeshadow Palette is available now.

I’m personally looking forward to buying this palette too, even though I have a million Nars palettes already (including their last few for spring and summer). It looks like a no-fail kind of colour story and perfect for summer travel.
