Call me basic and call my makeup basic too because Neutrogena Hydro Boost Multi-Use Stick is as basic as basic gets and I love it. This new Hydro Boost Multi-Use Stick with Smoothing Hyaluronic Acid ($12.99) is an extension of the Hydro Boost Skincare Collection everyone knows and loves! Part skincare, part makeup this color stick can be used on eyes, cheeks, and lips and I don’t hate that because sometimes I just want simple, easy, and basic sometimes!

I picked up the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Multi-Use Stick at Target.com recently because I just wanted something cheap that I could slide in my makeup bag and carry around with me. I have about two million NudeStixs but I really wanted something cheap that I wouldn’t be upset about if it melted in my makeup bag or got lost, etc….! And this little stick was just hanging out being all new at Target so I grabbed it up. It comes housed in a chunky swivel-up barrel that holds 0.26 oz of product.

The color is perfect for me. It’s called Temptation and it’s a warm terracotta that applies peachy nude on me. It should work across a good deal of skin tones as the color can be applied heavily for a deeper color payoff or lighter for a more natural finish. It’s marketed as a 3-in-1 that can be used as an eyeshadow, blush, or lip balm. I always find products that multitask don’t always work well but this actually works a treat across all three parts of your face. The color on my cheeks is natural and pretty, on the lips it’s balmy and lightly hydrating with a nice bit of color, and on my eyes I get an almost rosy color (I don’t love the texture for eyes though as it is a bit balmy in this area).

The formula is easy to work with and blends easily. It has a balmy consistency that feels as such on the cheeks. I didn’t mind this at all because I’m drier and it felt lightly moisturizing. If you don’t enjoy that texture you can easily tame it with a dusting of powder. It doesn’t adhere to drier areas on your face either and looks smooth with a lightly dewy, healthy finish!

All in all, a great little blush stick that works as a lip balm or eyeshadow as well! If you want a little quick color on your face that you can swipe on, blend out, and go the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Multi-Use Stick is worth a pick up!

I’ve seen high end versions of this. Good on Neutrogena for making their version.
