About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Don’t forget you can place more than one order and get the discount

Have decided to stop buying from Sephora because of their customer service policies. They recently told me that after sending a corrected item of my last order (they shipped a single instead of a duo), they weren’t going to ever issue a refund/re-ship again because they had to re-ship an order last year, even if they don’t put in the correct item in the shipment! I’m a Rouge, spend thousands and have never returned anything. And the time last year was the only time they had ever had to re-ship to me. Left a bad taste and there are a lot of other places to buy makeup.

I can still buy at Nordstrom, Beautylish, Ulta and Macy’s (they carry my beloved Shiseido eye cream). Had recently bought some JVN hair products and was surprised at how good they were! Especially the Leave In, the one in the jar. Was also going to buy the big tub of Amika Soul Food, but I can buy that on Amazon from Amika directly. It’s a really good hair mask for a good price. Was going to re-stock Oribe (looove Supershine) and Kerastase, but can get Kerastase close to where I live. Want to buy the new Huda Beauty Cherry Blossom powder, but it was sold out at Sephora and the Huda Beauty website. So will wait for that one. Other than that, was going to restock a Nars foundation and their tinted moisturizer (which is really good).

So far I picked up the Tarte Blush Palette, two of Maracuja Lip Plumps, Bobbi Brown Skin Corrector Stick, and Too Faced Born This Way Sunset Stripped Eye Palette. I’m trying to show some restraint but finding it difficult! You can use the discount more than once, which might be part of the problem. I also got the Sephora Sun Safety Kit.

I placed an order this morning and now I plan to avoid looking at any Sephora emails so I won’t be tempted to get back in the pool. My haul:
Tatcha The Liquid Silk Canvas primer
Tatcha The Kissu Lip Mask (love this stuff)
Bobbi Brown Extra Lip Tint in Bare Nude
NARS Orgasm Lip Mask (what can I say – I have a lip product fetish)
KAYALI Eden Juicy Apple travel spray (thanks Muse!)
T3 AireBrush Duo Interchangeable Hot Air Blow Dry Brush (Splurge!)

I’ve been good this sale. I ordered the Sol de Janeiro cream, 2 of the Sephora #56 foundation brush, Smashbox 8 in 1 primer, Sephora moisturizer with prebiotics, 2 Dior forever shin concealers, Sephora collection eye cream with peptides, rare beauty pore diffusing primer and Sephora collection bath brush.
