E.L.F. C-Bright Putty Primer Has 2% Vitamin C And I Don’t Care

Well, sorry, but E.L.F. C-Bright Putty Primer holds no interest for me. E.L.F. is relaunching Poreless Putty Primer yet again with a new formula that contains 2% Vitamin C and I’m sitting here like, “Yeah, I don’t need that but thank you anyway!” The idea of E.L.F. C-Bright Putty Primer is interesting. It’s always fun having a hybrid product that acts as a base and a skincare product. But in reality, I’m not sure 2% Vitamin C is going to do much of anything for your skin.

I’m sure it has the same great formula as Poreless Putty Primer. Poreless Putter Primer is def a nicer version of Tatcha The Silk Canvas Protective Primer in my humble opinion. Tatcha’s formula and I never got on! Way too greasy feeling to me but E.L.F.’s formula was just right. I don’t have visible pores but E.L.F.’s formula is great for setting a nice, smooth canvas for makeup. Tatcha’s version always felt oddly oily on me!

I could be grossly wrong about C-Bright Putty Primer but I dunno if 2% vitamin C is going to do much for your skin. Just use your regular Vitamin C daily for the best benefits and don’t rely on your primer to do the job for you. Like I said above I love the idea of products like this but in most cases, they are a one-trick pony!

E.L.F. has been going a little too crazy with this formula in my opinion. You have a solid product, guys! No need to introduce all these variations of it! I think they have an illuminating one now, a color correcting one…. It’s just so overkill!

But hey, if E.L.F. C-Bright Putty Primer interests you it’s available now!

Yeah, that’s a big nothing for me too. 2% is nearly zilch, (15-20% is usually what’s considered effective) and in an open jar it’s going to oxidize almost instantly, so what eensy bit there is will be rendered useless in short order. Companies need to stop this incessant “relaunch” of stuff. If it’s a good product, then leave it the he!! alone!! Stop “improving” everything – because most of the time, you’re not.
