2 New Eye Creams I Didn’t Need But I Totally Brought
I indulged in the new Drunk Elephant Ceramighty AF Eye Balm and Herbivore Moon Dew 1% Bakuchiol + Peptides Retinol Alternative Eye Cream! I really don’t need another eye cream! I’m happily using Hourglass Equilibrium Intensive Hydrating Eye Balm at the moment and truly it’s the best $90 bucks I’ve ever spent (well, $95 now! Yay inflation!). I have four main eye creams I love and use often but I’m ALWAYS tempted by something new.
What have I been tempted by recently? Well, let’s chat Herbivore Moon Dew 1% Bakuchiol + Peptides Retinol Alternative Eye Cream first. This went viral when @abbythebadassmom started using it. Abby has a condition called xanthelasma. I’ve never actually heard about this condition before Abby gave an explanation of it. It basically gives her the appearance of having really bad wrinkles and puffiness or even what appears to look like skin tags under her eyes. It’s due to her having genetically high cholesterol. She’s made Winky Lux Concealer go viral recently as it really concealed a lot of the issues under her eyes due to her xanthelasma. And now Herbivore Moon Dew 1% Bakuchiol + Peptides Retinol Alternative Eye Cream is another item she made go viral. She claims it dramatically reduced the appearance of the lines and puffiness she has going on under her eyes within a few days of use. You can see below some of what she says about the eye cream.
@herbivorebotanicals The results just dont lie🤩 the lovely @abbythebadassmom shows us how MOON DEW has already changed her under eyes✨ #herbivorebotanicals #moondeweyecream #eyecreamviral ♬ original sound – Herbivore Botanicals
She convinced me to try it! I’ll let you know how it goes. As per Herbivore it uses Bakuchiol 1% which is a plant alternative to retinol to reduce the signs of aging and fine lines. As well as Honey Lotus Seed Extract that tightens and lifts the eye area. The results promised are firmer, less puffy eyes that are hydrated and smoother. As per their research in 10 minutes 81% agreed that their skin felt instantly firmer and 87% agreed that skin feels instantly hydrated -78% agreed that skin looked smoother, lifted + tightened. Abby claimed it worked within seven days or so. That’s pretty fast! We’ll see how it goes for me.
Drunk Elephant Ceramighty AF Eye Balm hasn’t had the viral success that Herbivore has but I was curious to try this since it’s packed with hydrating ingredients Ceramides, plant oils, they got you covered for plenty of moisture here.
Seriously this stuff contains primrose, linseed, hemp, jojoba oil, and at least three different ceramides. I’ve always said the key to softening fine lines and wrinkles is plenty of moisture and this appears to have plenty of it.
I haven’t tried it yet but I’ll let you know how my testing goes!
