I am 100% sure I became annoying yesterday when I had my boyfriend drive to two different Walmart stores to find Body Fantasies Cupcake Swirl Body Spray. You see, it all started out innocently enough. We drove all the way to Big Sur yesterday! It was quite the road trip, to say the least, and I ended up sleeping through some of it, commanding the radio for another part of it, asking “are we there yet?” for another portion of it, and watching Tiktoks for the rest of it.

It was when I started watching Tiktoks that things became complicated and instead of a five-hour road trip it turned into a six-hour one because we needed to immediately stop at Walmart on the way to find the new Body Fantasties Cupcake Swirl Body Mist.

There are way too many “Tiktok made me buy it” moments in my life. I came across at least half a dozen YOU NEED Body Fantasties Cupcake Swirl Body Mist on my Tiktok feed yesterday! I immediately had to find it.

Note to self, never listen to Tiktok. Seriously, I think more than 80% of my “Tiktok Made Me Buy It” purchases are total garbage. There are some gems in there somewhere but sometimes things are so crazy overhyped and I find myself falling for it each and every time. This time I fell for the Cupcake Swirl frenzy. In my defense, I will say that Body Fantasties makes a damn nic Vanilla Fragrance Mist. It’s quite a lovely cake-like vanilla.

Vanilla Swirl Cupcake, well, not really what I imagined. It’s supposed to have sweet notes of cake, creamy buttercream, and vanilla. It sort of smells like 7th grade to me. Very sweet, a little bit nutty, and with vanilla thrown in. It’s an odd scent. I don’t hate it but I also, don’t love it either. I think it reminds me of Glade too much to actually love it. It sort of smells like room spray!

That being said, if you can layer it with other vanilla products it sort of works out. I used it with the EOS Vanilla Cashmere Body Lotion and they were a match made in heaven. I ended up smelling like a vanilla sugar cookie and I didn’t hate it.

The moral of the story is don’t stop your road trip for Body Fantasies Cupcake Swirl Body Spray.

It’s ok but nothing to get too excited about.

Smelled it?

I may have to try this one out especially since Body Fantasies is cheap; no real loss is I don’t care for it. Their other vanilla gets a little heady on me for some reason.
My favorite cheap vanilla cupcake scent was Bodycology, both the Vanilla Buttercream Frosting the Vanilla Cupcake. It worked so well with my body chemistry and I would always here people say “Mmm I smell cupcakes!” or “Who brought cookies?”. Unfortunately none of the current Bodycology vanillas do a thing for me.
