Hello there. My name is Isabella and I’m a candle addict and hoarder! I’ve gotten my addiction somewhat under control as of late but I can’t resist a good candle when the Fall and Winter weather sets in. Lighting up a delicious candle and having your entire home smell beautiful is one of life’s greatest joys. It makes things feel so cozy, doesn’t it?

I am a rather sad, obsessed candle hoarder though. I have many. I mean, MANY candles. It’s a little ridiculous.

But that’s a topic for another day…today we embrace my addiction head on and I share with you the candle that my boyfriend actually likes.

So, my boyfriend adores taking the piss out of all many, many little addictions and obsessions. Honestly, I think this man stays with me because I amuse and entertain him daily with my utter stupidity when it comes to collecting this, that, and the other thing. My Rae Dunn addiction always turns into, “Hey bells! Do we need a mug that says DRINK on it? Is DRINK written on it so we remember what the function of the mug is?” My makeup collection results in, “Wouldn’t it be cool if you were like Zaphod Beeblebrox and you had two heads?! You’d totally be able to use all this stuff up faster!” It’s always some fantastical smart-ass remark that he knows I’ll laugh at.

Candles are def an addiction. He loves the candle addiction for sure and ALWAYS, may the devil love his soul for it, leans down and smells a candle when I ask him, “Doesn’t this smell incredible?! What does it smell like?” and he’ll smirk, tell me it smells amazing and gives me a question reply like, “apples?” with a shrug. When in fact it’s obviously caramel apples with notes of caramel, crunchy green apple, cinnamon, sugar, spice, and everything nice. I mean really, how ya gonna reply just “apples?!” It’s a complex candle!

Now to give you further information he’s also Captain Awesome that jogs two miles daily and has the “my body is my temple” mentality going on. Ugh…

But he has his downfalls one of which is Fruit Loops Cereal. He won’t eat it often because “I can’t believe they put this much sugar in a kid’s cereal!” But you’ll catch him sneak a bowl in from time to time.

I recently purchased the Sunday Morning Cereal Candle Duo from qvc.com on sale. I couldn’t resist. It was $33 for two huge candles that smelled like Fruit Loops! I sincerely urge you to go buy this set NOW! Immediately! It smells absurdly good. It brings back Saturday morning and sitting in front of the TV watching cartoons and eating a bowl of cereal with cold milk! It’s a very realistic scent with the Fruit Loops notes of lime, orange, grape, lemon and cherry. Bath and Body Works did hand soap and a candle like this as well but I have to say I enjoyed the Homeworx one more! The scent seems to be stronger and lingers in the air well after I’ve blown out the flame!

Anyway, when I got it, I, of course, strolled into his office and said told him, “SMELL THIS!” He immediately knew what it smelled like. I didn’t get the question mark at the end this time. It was “WHOA FRUIT LOOPS! COOL!” Ha! Finally, a valid response.

It’s a keeper.

You need it.

And that’s my candle story of the day!

Ha…!

Muse, as a fellow candle h00r, er, enthusiast, have you ever gotten candles from Aldi? I’ve had one 1 or 2 clunkers from them, but most have been pretty awesome! And they’re always coming out with new ones. Right now I have a eucalyptus lime one in my office (shhhhh – not s’posed to have it here but I do anyway) and It’s so strong I had to blow it out!! Very nice scent, plus it’s in a purty glass jar iwth an embossed kinda fan design on it. and I think it was less than $5. They burn for quite a while too – I’m really impressed with ’em! if you haven’t yet, you should give them a try!

I’m with you on the candle addiction. Just recently moved from west coast to east coast and I shipped all my expensive candles here. Made some new purchases since I arrived because it’s going to be autumn/winter soon and I love the smell of those seasons!!

wow I can’t even imagine how you’d ship something like that! Tell me more! I love the smell of those seasons too!

Another product that’s similar is the wax tarts, scensational orange buttercream cupcake or something like that, and the marshmallow krispie treats one too, by same brand.

Try Voluspa “Gilt Pomander and Hinoki” candle. It’s my favorite Christmas candle. Kind of spendy for a candle but high end and smells divine. I’m all stocked up and ready to holly jolly. But first need to get through all the pumpkin scents.
At the grocery store this morning I bought a Tuscany candle “Evening Fireside” that I’m burning now. I thought I was buying Pumpkin Maple but made a mistake. Oh well, I go to the store practically every day LOL
I can’t say what Evening Fireside smells like because I sprayed a new perfume – Tory Burch Electric Sky and they are kind of mingled together in my nose.
