Iconic London Silk Glow Blush and Highlight Duo ($39) gel powder highlighter and blush duo available in two shades that launched a few months ago. I’m extremely into gel powders and love the smooth consistency of this formula but honestly, what really made me buy the Iconic London Silk Glow Blush and Highlight Duo was the fact I fell in love with the shade duo Coral Glow. I absolutely adore peach and coral blushes and this gorgeous coral blush paired with a beautiful gold highlighter was all I needed to convince myself to buy!

The Iconic London Silk Glow Blush and Highlight Duo is available in a pink shade and a coral shade. I purchased it in the shade Coral Glow which obviously is the coral shade. I absolutely fell in love with the shade and the promo images totally live up to what it looks like in real life. It’s a bright, gorgeous coral that gives my cheeks the perfect burst of color. The highlighter part is just as lovely! It’s a beautiful, shimmering gold that layers beautifully with the coral to create that pretty golden sunset look!

The duo comes housed in a beautiful gold mirrored compact and has a gorgeous mirror located inside. The total size is 0.21 oz for $39. It’s not exactly a cheap indulgence but you are getting both a blusher and highlighter here which could make things more tempted.

The formula is a dense, gel powder for both the blush and the highlighter. I found the highligher a bit easier to pick up with my brush where as the blush was a little harder but considering its very pigmented and a little goes a long way I didn’t mind so much. The highlighter has a shimmery loose consistency which isn’t going to go over big with those who dislike shimmer. This is a lot like dusting a shimmery eyeshadow on your face. I didn’t mind so much as I’m about shimmer but if you want glow this isn’t exactly going to give you a glowy look. It gives more of a shimmering effect on cheeks and skin. The blush is smooth and silky yet dense and as I said a bit difficult to pick up with a brush but less is more as it’s very pigmented. It applies perfectly with a smooth even finish that lasted for a solid ten hours on my cheeks. I’d say both the blush and the highlighter looked very smooth and had a good finish without adhering to drier areas on my face.

Swatches left to right: blush, highlighter, blush and highlighter mixed

I absolutely loved this duo and wish it came in more shades! The shimmery highlighter might be for everyone but I adored it and I bet it’ll work as an eyeshadow as well!

Sephora Ulta

Iconic London Silk Glow Blush and Highlight Duo ($39) gel powder highlighter and blush duo that’s 0.21 oz in size and comes housed in an elegant gold mirroed compact. I absolutely loved this duo but the highlighter might not be suitable for everyone since it is essentially a shimmer more than a glowy highlighter. I didn’t mind this but definately avoid if you hate shimmer. Both shades are fairly dense but the highlighter is a bit looser and easier to pick up with a brush versus the blush which was a little harder. But regardless that issue the blush is super pigmented so a little does go a very long way and it has an incredible long wear! Paired with the highlighter I get a pretty shimmery look!

Pros

  • Beautiful shade pairing!
  • Pigmented!
  • Very long-wearing!
  • Elegant packaging.

Cons

  • Highlighter isn’t a glow but more of a shimmer.
  • Both powders are fairly dense but the blush more so and was a little difficult to pick up with a brush!
