For those eyeballing Baccarat Rouge 540 but not feeling the price tag, you might want to indulge in Mancera Instant Crush Eau de Parfum which isn’t an exact dupe but a close cousin to BR540 on beast mode.
I won’t deny that I believe everyone should try Maison Francis Kurkdjian Baccarat Rouge 540 Eau de Parfum at least once in their life. The bottle is costly at $325 for 2.4 oz but it really is one of my perfume life’s greatest joys. It’s just a gorgeous, unique scent. Granted, with the chaos currently surrounding our world I don’t recommend you go and indulge in a bottle of this or Instant Crush for that matter unless you have the disposable income to do so.
I also understand not everyone is willing to drop this much money on a fragrance. I think you really have to be a hardcore fragrance lover to even consider it.

Mancera Instant Crush is in no way a Baccarat Rouge 540 dupe but the saffron notes are strong enough here that it’ll definitely give you that naughty cotton candy high that you get from BR540. Not to mention it’ll do it on beast mode. Mancera fragrances have a knack for sticking around all day long without a touch-up required. The fragrance performs incredibly well and creates a sillage bubble around you that will last well after you’ve left the presence of others. It just leaves this beautiful scent trail that will have people stopping to ask what you’re wearing.
This is a scent you’ll mist on you before you leave the house and come home hours later to it smelling up your mud room, foyer, or hallway. It’s a scent you’ll mist on your coat and scarf only to put them away for the Winter in the closet only to have the scent of it lingering in the air every time you open the door to the said closet. This is the scent you mist on your skin during a humid day that will heat up and creates a sexy, sultry scent bubble around you. This is the scent you mist on only to come home after work, slip on your PJs, lay in bed, and have your loved one cuddle up to you to whisper you smell good.
It’s a lot like BR540 in the fact it just lingers on and on creating a warm, sexy, sultriness in the air around you. The first mist for me is BR540 immediately. The saffron hits you in the fact and I immediately get the second, middle note of Moroccan rose that adds sweetness. This actually has patchouli as well which you know I dislike intensely but my nose doesn’t detect it AT ALL! As it dries down a beautiful layer of vanilla and white musk envelope the saffron creating this exotic cozyiness.
As I said, this is by no means a dupe for BR540 but if you like BR540 and want a different variation of the fragrance I think Mancera Instant Crush is a perfect pick up! Or if you can’t stomach the price of BR540 this is a bit cheaper and a large bottle too ($180 at 4oz).
