Sephora Flash 2-Day Shipping Is No Longer Available And You May Not Know It
Head over to sephora.com and read the fine print my friends as the Sephora Flash Shipping Program has ended and you may not even know about it.
As of now, it reads:
Prior to June 15, 2022, the FLASH annual subscription was, renewed automatically; this feature has been disabled as of June 15, 2022 and all subscriptions that were current as of that date will end one year after the date they were started or last renewed.
Sephora Flash Unlimited 1-2 Day Shipping was originally a free service for Rouge Members. In 2019, Sephora Flash Shipping was no longer be available for Rouge Members an automatic benefit.
2-Day Flash Shipping used to be a $10 option available to anyone that made purchases at Sephora but it was later offered as a free option for Rouge Members and later was raised to $15 for everyone else. It later became a redeemable reward for Rouge Members. You were given the opportunity to choose a Celebration Gift when you upgrade or renew your Rouge Status and one of the items was Free Flash 1-2 Shipping.
Honestly, I haven’t gotten 2-day shipping from Sephora in ages. My orders normally take a week or more to arrive so Flash was a completely pointless benefit and perk! I won’t miss them removing it as an option because it was simply worthless to purchase or even use a reward perk to get it.
This is one more reason that Sephora’s Reward Program is completely pointless. They should just either discontinue the entire Reward Program or revamp it completely and make it more appealing for consumers to want to join up and actually shop at Sephora.
On that note, I will say this news is concerning because Amazon also recently released a statement saying that they are placing priority on certain shipments. Meaning things like diapers would get shipping priority over parcels that contain more personal purchases! So, you may be paying for Prime but don’t expect to actually get your purchase right away in the future as your neighbor may be ordering something that takes priority over your order or vice versa!
What other companies and brands will do this or even cease to offer free shipping?
I hope not many as I hate paying shipping for anything! On that note, if this was to happen it may drive consumers to stores more which could be a perk for brick and mortar locations!
