I Can’t Say I Hate the Tarte Maneater After Dark Eyeshadow Palette

Another day, another Tarte Eyeshadow Palette! Did you see the new Tarte Maneater After Dark Eyeshadow Palette and Tarte Maneater Vanity Palette? Both are now available on Ulta and I can’t say I hate the Maneater After Dark Eyeshadow Palette. I’m actually digging the sultry, rich, warm shades in this palette and think it’ll be an excellent pick-up for Fall looks!

Tarte Maneater After Dark Eyeshadow Palette is Tarte’s Holiday 2022 Eyeshadow Palette. Yeah, I dunno, they somehow just skipped Fall 2022 but hey, these shades scream Fall so, I’m not bitching about that. This is an extension of Tarte’s Maneater Collection and includes 24 brand new shades for $52 in matte, shimmer, and sheen finishes. As per their marketing, “The Tarte Maneater After Dark Eyeshadow Palette is their most significant, fiercest maneater palette yet with 24 NEW everyday shades with a holiday flare!” See? Holiday was thrown in there.

This is a really rich, deep-shaded palette that made me instantly think of dark chocolate for some reason. I will say it’s a standard selection of shades Tarte enjoys to include in their palettes. Cranberries, chocolate browns, some coppers, and even some black for a smokier look. Even though the color scheme seems familiar I’d go so far as to say it’s one of Tarte’s bolder eyeshadow palette releases and packs a very nice punch if you’re looking to get a little bolder and dramatic with your looks as the cooler weather sets in.

Shades:

  • Row 1: Playful (matte cream), Lust (matte rosy beige), Mischievous (matte terracotta), Sensual (rosy copper shimmer), Passion (matte warm brown), Insatiable (raspberry sheen)
  • Row 2: Enamored (matte peachy beige), Heartbreaker (gold shimmer), Desire (matte marigold), Heated (amber shimmer), Sundown (copper gold shimmer), Alluring (matte cinnamon brown)
  • Row 3: Charming (matte vanilla), Fantasy (emerald green sheen), Wild at Heart (taupe gold shimmer), Hot in Here (copper shimmer), Night Fall (brown sheen), Animal Instinct (matte black
  • Row 4: Feline Myself (deep rose gold shimmer), Intense (strawberry shimmer), Temptress (matte taupe), On the Prowl (taupe shimmer), Moody (matte berry), Nocturnal (deep plum sheen)

I will say what is boring is the Tarte Maneater Vanity Palette. This is a $32 dollar 6-pan shade and I’m just questioning why… You’re telling me I can get a 24 shade palette which 3 times more than this palette for $20 more? Which would you choose? Also, these shades are pretty standard and you likely have every single one from other Tarte palette you already own.

Shades:

  • Mane Event (matte cream)
  • Passionate (matte warm tan)
  • In the Wild (matte terracotta)
  • Flaunt It (soft bronze shimmer)
  • Fiery (copper shimmer)
  • Pawsitive (matte warm brown)

Absolutely no hate! I love the shade range! I just think the colors are a bit repetitive and the price is bonkers compared to the larger Maneater After Dark Eyesahdow Palette!

I gotta admit that I’m feeling the love for Tarte Maneater After Dark Eyeshadow Palette. I don’t hate it, people.

When I saw the Maneater After Dark palette I knew you were going to like it. It’s so autumnal and I really like the depth and richness of the shades. I kind of want it.
Unfortunately I probably won’t get it because I rarely wear makeup since I WFH. However if you get it, you can swatch and review and we can all makeup vicariously through you 😉
