I Tried The Truly Happy Hairless Shave Butter and Coco Cloud Luxury Shave Butter That’s On Sale at Ulta Here’s How It Went
I picked up the Truly’s Happy Hairless Shave Butter and Coco Cloud Luxury Shave Butter that are on sale at ulta.com for the Fall Haul Event! I had some points stashed away so I did a little haul with those but I’m plotting out the second order of other items I want before the sale ends!
I should tell you that I tried the Truly Beauty Eye Cream a long time ago and it sort of put me off trying anything else from the brand as I wasn’t really impressed! Oddly, the bath and body stuff never really caught my eye as it does remind me of stuff you can get on Etsy. Not that that’s a bad thing by any means! I just mean to say you can get products like this for so much cheaper from indie sellers.
I did give it recently and snagged two of the shaving butters which are $14 and $15 bucks each during this sale. I don’t regret the purchase at all but their original prices are $20 and $22 doesn’t make me really happy about going in for repurchase as these are small and I feel like I’ll use them up rather quickly (4.2 oz size).
Here’s an interesting fact…the actual product is 1.3 oz but since the formula is whipped it comes out to 4.2 oz. But trust me, I feel like I’m using 1.3 oz of product here as I felt like I needed to use a lot of this stuff during a shave. That was somewhat disappointing.
That being said, I liked both Truly’s Happy Hairless Shave Butter and Coco Cloud Luxury Shave Butter! These smell lovely, they’re packaged beautifully, and they give a nice close shave. But again, they are pretty small at this price.
Both have a whipped-up consistency and both produce a fine lather (Coco Cloud more so) when using them. Happy Hairless has a fruity fragrance that lingers on the skin. This produced the least amount of lather and instead melted down and had an oil-like consistency on my legs as I shaved. It didn’t clog my razor and gave me a nice, close shave. As an added bonus it left my legs very smooth and lightly hydrated with a scent that lingered. If you massage it on you’ll find it produces a light lather as well!
Coco Cloud smelled like yummy coconut vanilla! It melts down and lathers up a lot more than Happy Hairless. This also gave me a nice close shave with and left my legs very smooth. The scent didn’t linger as heavily as Happy Hairless but was still a nice in-shower experience. I had no issues with it clogging my razor up!
Both of these are nice to have items but I just wish they were a bit cheaper. That being said the sale price helps considerably at getting them into my cart.
