The new Too Faced Italian Spritz Eyeshadow Palette launched this past weekend for Summer 2023 and it includes a fun selection of surf and turf shades that are giving off vacation vibes. I have to admit I was ready to purchase this. It was in my cart, I was ready to hit submit, but I ended up saying no last minute. I sort of overanalyzed it and I realized the shades are quite like what I already own from Too Faced with the exception of a few pops of color. I feel like some of the oranges and browns feel like the ones I already have in the Peach and Pumpkin Palettes and even some Holiday ones. Plus I had a moment of, “I can wait for this because it’ll be on sale shortly”. Let’s be honest Too Faced Spring 2022 came and went pretty fast and the Pinkier Times Ahead Eyeshadow Palette went on sale in the blink of an eye! What’s not to say that the Italian Spritz Eyeshadow Palette won’t be on sale in a few short weeks or even months? I think I can wait. Can you?

Don’t get me wrong! It’s a fun color lineup! I always enjoy a palette that combines cooler teals and aqua with warmer browns. I love Estee Lauder’s Bronze Goddess Palette and look forward to its release year after year. This sort of gives off those vibes but I think EL’s version is a lot more elegant with a more mature, luxurious resort feel where as Too Faced is giving off that “I’m going on an all-inclusive Sandals vacation!” And hey, that’s not a bad thing. It’s a fun, fresh selection of shades. It’s just that the shades are ones you likely already own from Too Faced. That combined with the fact this will likely be on sale soon is what made me take it out of my cart.

The shades in the palette include:

  • Holy Cannoli (Light Salmon Pink Matte)
  • Ciao, Bellini! (Soft Peachy-Orange Gold Shimmer Metallic)
  • When In Rome (Watermelon Pink Matte)
  • Take Me To Church (Soft Rose Gold Metallic)
  • Feelin’ Saucy (Terracotta Matte)
  • Lake Como (Sky Blue & Silver Shimmer)
  • Spaghett About It (Burnt-Orange Brown Matte)
  • Lake & Bake (Midnight Blue Metallic)
  • Impasta-ble (Medium Light-Yellow Brown Matte)
  • Gelat-ohhh! (Warm Cream Matte)
  • Toasted in Tuscany (Soft Brown Matte)
  • Cin-Cin (Warn Bronze Metallic)
  • Spritz and Glitz (Purple, Pink, and Blue Shimmer)
  • Grappa Don’t Peach (Vibrant Gold Metallic)
  • Expresso Yourself (Cool Red Brown Matte)
  • Capri Fun (Muted Pumpkin Rust Matte)
  • Mamma Mia (Purple Wine Matte)
  • Como After Dark (Smoky Gunmetal With Pearl Swirl Effect)

The shades have a mix of different finishes including matte, metallic, and shimmer finishes. It’s $54 and available now.

Will you purchase it?

I agree with you. Aside from the pops, it’s a neutral-warm palette. Ho hum. Big pass from me.

exactly. I think the pops of color make it tempting for me but take those away and there’s a lot of the same o’ same o’ too faced shades!
