5 stars out of 5

So, I’m a girl that washes her hair every day. I know this is some serious business and I’m going to get the hate that I shouldn’t be doing that but I’m so sorry, I don’t feel clean if I don’t wash my hair. My hair is long, wavy, and just frightful in the morning. It needs a good cleansing daily to keep it in order. My go-to daily hair cleanser is the Kristen Ess Cleansing Co-Wash. It’s divine. I tend to shed a lot as my hair is long and super wavy! The Kristen Ess formulas have stopped so much of that shedding and have made my hair so much smoother!

One of my friends told me to “Just use dry shampoo” but dude, I shower every day sometimes twice a day (I take one before bed in the evening just to relax) and dry shampoo isn’t really something that works on a person who always has wet hair. About a year and a half or more ago Garnier sent me some of their Garnier Fructis Invisible Dry Shampoo! They got me with the scents! Melon-tini, Coco Colada, Mojito….

I mean, how could I not try dry shampoos named after cocktails? I was a little skeptical about trying this out because they seemed best suited to people with oily hair and/or roots. I have drier hair, no oil. I’m happy to report that these worked out incredibly well for me. I was very pleasantly surprised and since they sent that package I have re-purchased their dry shampoo twice and kept it handy for days I just want to wake up and go. It’s a rare day I use dry shampoo but I’ve found myself using these a lot on the weekend when I don’t have any major plans. I mist in, style, and I’m good to go. They mist in a bit as a white powder but dry down immediately to an invisible finish and actually add a good deal of volume to my hair. Best part? My hair actually feels clean as if I just washed it! And in some cases, it even looks better! Count me shocked.

And hey, I can’t complain too much about the fact they make my hair smell amazing too (who doesn’t want watermelon-scented hair right?). I’m sort of shocked because who even am I loving dry shampoo? But Garnier Fructis Invisible Dry Shampoo is pretty nifty if you want clean, fresh-smelling hair without actually wetting your hair and washing it that day. They aren’t really for everyone! Like me for example! I still prefer cleansing my hair in the shower but on days you just want to get out of the house fast you can easily mist these in and look like you actually spent an hour doing your hair when you didn’t.

Garnier made me love dry shampoo! Who new I had a space in my heart for it?

Do you use dry shampoo? Do share your favs!

I haven’t seen these her in Canada yet but when I do I’ll give them a try. I have very fine hair that gets a bit oily at the roots on the day after I shampoo. I love dry shampoo so much! I’ve tried so many, including the expensive ones like Oribe, Dry bar and Living Proof but Batiste will always have my heart.
